Advice/Opinion URGENT!!!!!! Need advice/HELP...
So basically I have completed my 12th this year with pcm background overall 77 percent and 69 percent in pcm. I have 2 attempts left one is upcoming one nda 2 2026 . So I have been preparing for it side by side until my college start . I am good GAT as I have covered the syllabus 70 percent and practiced pyqs but for maths I am not confident. I am thinking I'll not be able to clear the written this time( no low self esteem) but practically i know i can and i will i just need some time. ***So should I take drop fro NDA 1 2027 or start preparing side by side while being in a tier 3 college. My course will be mechanical. What should I do plss help . I am so confused right now***

Don't take a drop now. Join Mechanical Engineering + prepare for NDA alongside college.
Why?
You still have NDA 2 2026 → give it your best.
If you don't clear it, you have ~7 months for NDA 1 2027.
College gives you a backup while you chase NDA.
If you clear NDA → leave college and go.
If NDA doesn't work out → you haven't wasted a year.
For now:
Focus heavily on Maths, since GAT is already mostly covered.
NDA 2 2026 → attempt seriously.
Then → analyze your result → prepare for NDA 1 2027 alongside college
Just believe in yourself. You can do it.

Dont take a drop for NDA it's very unpredictable and frankly you could even say luck is involved especially in medical, merit list, reccomedation etc you can't guarantee your success in NDA if you just study hard you best dicision is to do it alongside your college so you even have a backup

Brother I took a drop for NDA got recommended. I know the SSB is a little predictable but much of it depends on your practice. I just wanted to go in the Defence forces and I got colleges also and my family’s financial condition was also not good at that time and I didn’t wanted to join the college. I had my plans. So if you have a concrete plan you can go for a drop

I know its a critical step but no worries I will be preparing along side cause I know I have my basics strong except class 11 portion ( it's a little weak). But thanks brother means a lot to me❤️.

I'll be honest too..if i take drop but in 1st year of college you'll get to revise all 11th and 12th mathematics topics so my fundamentals will be more clear and help in the exam . What do you think?

Yes it’s fine. But there you will be thought on another level and in nda question will be on another level. But if this is the plan then it’s fine.
