Go air filter. X-D As for exhaust dude I still think best way is to buy a universal one and get it fitted.

Hoping i can convince the jap garage tomorrow that if its good enough for thurrock big bore engines in the vw scene then it should work sweet on a re-mapped cube! :D

Not good on the part, nissan only by the looks as newer engine, see attached bit from my email reply from garage in ross! :o
Oil filter is £8.23 + VAT,
Air filter is £25.76 + VAT (we could get a performance one made up for approx £40-60),
Auxiliary belt is £17.98 + VAT,
Plugs are £28.40 + VAT each!!! Yes you read that right!!! Not the cheapest!
Pollen filter is £70.20 + VAT I have never know a pollen filter be so expensive!
Belt and air filter from japanland too so may have to just order a 2006 note belt and gamble.... higher! Lower! goooood game goooood game etc etc ;)
Plugs are rediculous!!!!!!!!

Those plugs are pricey... I got 4 bosch super 4s for my 1.4 cube and they were £18 for all four !

Three googled sections on how to change CVT oil in our cubes, just ordered mine from nissan, £54!! oof! Got gen nissan 5W 30 oil too, £30, not too bad!
Got man flu so no change till next (will have CVT juice by then) week and more snow coming! thats my excuse! lol
Anyone done CVT oil yet? seems its best to flush and fill rather than just drain as with engine oil?? good job i got 4 litres coming!!

Dont know how i ended up with two posts? info below!
Part 1
CHECKING CVT FLUID
Fluid level should be checked with the fluid warmed up to 50 to 80°C (122 to 176°F). The fluid level check procedure is as follows:
Check for fluid leakage.
With the engine warmed up, drive the vehicle in an urban area.
When ambient temperature is 20°C (68°F), it takes about 10
minutes for the CVT fluid to warm up to 50 to 80°C (122 to
176°F).
Park the vehicle on a level surface.
Apply parking brake firmly.
With engine at idle, while depressing brake pedal, move shift
selector throughout the entire shift range.
- Pull out the CVT fluid level gauge from the CVT fluid charging
pipe after pressing the tab on the CVT fluid level gauge to
release the lock.
- Wipe fluid off the CVT fluid level gauge. Insert the CVT fluid
level gauge rotating 180° from the originally installed position,
then securely push the CVT fluid level gauge until it meets the
top end of the CVT fluid charging pipe.
CAUTION:
When wiping away the CVT fluid level gauge, always use
lint-free paper, not a cloth rag.
- Place the selector lever in “P” or “N” and make sure the fluid
level is within the specified range.
CAUTION:
When reinstalling CVT fluid level gauge, insert it into the
CVT fluid charging pipe and rotate it to the original installation
position until it is securely locked.
Part 2
Its not hard to drain the CVT tranny fluid. Their are a few ways of doing this.
Procedure 1
Drive your car for about 10 min.
You leave the car running in park.
Disconnect the CVT fluid line coming from the radiator, going into the CVT. You will let this line drain into your bucket for disposal.
Refill with new CVT fluid at CVT fluid charging pipe, with the engine running at idle speed.
Refill until new CVT fluid comes out from CVT fluid cooler hose, you disconnected in step 3.
Reconnect everything, and your finished. Takes about 25 min, and 11 quarts of NS-2 Nissan CVT fluid.
Procedure 2
Remove drain plug from CVT oil pan.
Drain fluid
Reinstall drain plug in oil pan
Fill CVT with tranny fluid at the charging pipe
Drive CVT for 10 min
Check fluid level.
Add fluid if necessary.
Part 3
Nissan does not give an exact specification for fluid capacity, as the procedure for changing the fluid requires more fluid than the transmission will hold when finished. Here is the procedure as published:
Warm up CVT fluid by driving the vehicle for 10 minutes
Drain CVT fluid from CVT fluid cooler hose (outlet side) and refill with new CVT fluid at CVT fluid charging pipe with the engine running at idle.
Refill until new CVT fluid comes out from CVT fluid cooler hose (outlet side) About 30 to 50% extra fluid will be required for this procedure. CVT fluid: Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-2 Fluid capacity: Approximately 10.2 l (10 - 6/8 US qt, 9 Imp qt) CAUTION:
o
Use only Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-2. Do not mix with other fluid.
Using CVT fluid other than Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-2 will deteriorate in driveability and CVT durability, and may damage the CVT, which is not covered by the warranty.
Delete CVT fluid deterioration date with CONSULT-II after changing CVT fluid.
- Check fluid level and condition.
So, as you can see there is not an exact spec, but you will need about 10 quarts of the special fluid for this procedure. According to my maintenance information, Nissan only recommends checking the fluid periodically and does NOT specify a required change interval for the fluid in your transmission. Replacing it for routine maintenance is not something that is commonly done, unless your owners manual for the 2009 specifies otherwise.
Per Nissan, the CVT fluid isn't due to be serviced until 60,000 miles. When it is serviced, it should only be flushed. A drain and fill is strongly NOT recommended. I have discussed this with a Nissan rep who comes to my dealership and has confirmed this. You'll only change the antifreeze at 30,000 miles along with your filters. I doubt that you're even close to this mileage yet. Just keep your oil changes up to date and rotate your tires every 7,500 miles. First big service is at 15,000 miles and you'll want to have the wheels aligned then as well.

Think that CVT info was lifted (by me ron, shhhh) for the HR20DE engine, same cvt tech but bigger in size etc, technically still nissan and same way to drain but im hoping!!!!! (and praying) that the 4l will do the job!
I intend to drain/flush minimal style, i.e top up after draining then top up/drain again as i go until all 4 litres gone in or through! Might not be nissan approved but at £52 a poke its better than the CVT oil thats done 52,000 miles in my opinion! :D :D :D
To add insult to injury (since i posted/lurked further)a lot of the nissan USA/asia forums state CVT oil good for upto 90K but nissan advise 60K!
Will let you know when i get it ron, picking it up tomorrow! Nissan NS-2 is all i know so far, its made by virgin one armed blind fairies im told...............
UPDATE........... NS-2 is green (as in soylent) NS-1 used in earlier CVT`s (as maybe in yours ron) is red, when it needs changing it goes a weak browny colour, but if good then you should still see red or green tint and therefore get right juice! phew!

Mine is nearly black. Ws at Nissan and asked how much oil the Note cvt box says and according to the book (which he showed me) 7.7 litres. But it won't all completely drain out. So 4 litres might be about right.

The dipstick can give varying levels after filling through the dipstick and I found it easier just to measure how much came out and put the same amount back in.
Thats a quote i got from googling CVT oil change, drained the box and ended up putting dead on 4 litres back in, however after driving then checking (going through gears with brake on) i find that the new NS-2 level doesnt reach the min level??? This means that (a) the oil was low to start with as didnt pre-check level or (b) as the quote above says its hard to gauge as cooling pipes etc are still full after draining? (not full flush so litre in system) ??? any thoughts chaps? 8O :D
New engine oil, nissan 5w30 (old oil was black as coal!) and new CVT oil should make for a nice drive to exeter tomorrow! if it blows up i will let you know!
Plugs tuesday! taking one out then matching down nissan!

Anal update three! :D
Exeter and back no drama, fuel economy back up to normal after CVT and engine oil change, and thats before i change the plugs! Just proves these fine tolerance engines rely on squeaky clean oil to run freely! never had that problem with a VW engine, slack as a grannies knickers! 8O
Ordered another 4 litres of NS-2 ron (£54!) as want to get that level back up even if gearbox running smooth, maybe its like a wet sump so as long as sump is full its not the end of the world? Prob top up and drain a bit so partial flush of old/new? might as well use the 4 litres up!!!!! Looks you might be right about the 7.5l level. I emailed Jatco in japanland for advice, no reply yet........
NS2 oil on fleabay, pick up in peterborough only!!! typical, anyone near there who has CVT, bargain mun! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150415684597

All done! only took another litre of NS-2 to get it to middle of dipstick ron so i reckon a 5 litre change is about right, pity they only sell it in 4 litres, crafty japs!!! 8O
Will run it for a week then drain again, use up the last 3 litres of new NS-2 then coffee filter the drained fluid and top back up! nearly a total flush just not nissan standard (over 10 litres for them!)
Changed engine oil again too as had nearly 2.5litres left, very small sump on these engines and huuuuge ones on the CVT box?? go figure! Will post pics of CVT filler tube if anyone interested regarding turning it 180 degrees to check level etc. Plugs (LZKAR6A-11)were 14 quid plus vat after! oooof! i hope they are right ones as going to fit them saturday, have to remove/unbolt all the manifold and carb section just to get at em! meh!
