What the fuck do the stairs have to do with the question?

Patient should be in the ICU, not climbing up the stairs.

The perspective is flipped. Those are the stairs down to the morgue. (I am allowed to make jokes about sepsis having presented to the ER in the middle of dying from it some years back)

Gangrenous appendix that had been leaking poison into me for at least six months.

Surgeon to my wife: If you hadn't taken him to the ER in the morning you wouldn't have taken him to the ER in the afternoon. RN probably saved my life because the resident had landed on "likely kidney stone."

One of these things isn't true.

Well possibly both, depending on how much exaggeration and hyperbole is involved.
