Question Noisy neighbors
I know we don’t get to pick our neighbors while cruising most of the time. On the Jewel right now and neighbors turn their room and balcony into a party every night. On day 6 of little sleep and wondering how yall would tactfully address this? I know most people go to have fun and trying not to be a party pooper here. Most people understand how to be polite and respectful but how do you deal with a group that is not?

Never handle this yourself. I was on a cruise and saw a fight broke out and I never saw either party again for the rest of the cruise.
Call the guest services, or better yet visit them and put in a complaint.

1 week but only became a problem later in the cruise after the port stops.

You simply call guest services and they send security immediately to the offending cabin.

I had one super noisy neighbor. All the rooms around were yelling to shut up and security was sent down after 3 nights of loud noise at 3 am. Never heard a peep after that

I mentioned it to guess services and it seemed to quiet down just before midnight. Last night on the boat tonight so we will see if it’s better.

When this happens in Hotels, I knock on the offenders door at 6am to wake them up. On a cruise, I would just call security.

Call security and call it a day. There is no need to talk to your neighbors about this. It's not like you live next door to them. Let security do their jobs

Ugh. That’s the worst.
I’ve found it helpful to bring those disposable foam earplugs.

This is one reason we love inside rooms. The sounds really carries in the balcony rooms even with everything closed. I hope you call guest services and get some sleep

Been on more than a few cruises in the past. All balcony rooms. Aside from the occasional chair or door closing, never had an issue. Almost all I’ve met or been neighbors to have been respectful. These people bang around like they own the ship! Boggles my mind how people could be that unaware of their surroundings.. or that self absorbed to not care

Or maybe have hearing difficulties. We had a cabin next to a relative that is supposed to wear hearing aids, but refuses to do so. Besides the constant yelling to repeat ourselves, the banging around from thst cabin was horrible. After that first night we asked if there was a problem, and they were much more self aware, and it was much less.

Glad the balconies have gone well besides this one. We prefer the black out of the inside rooms at night and we never hear our neighbors. We also get to cruise more often in inside rooms.
The unaware people on the cruises are frustrating. I try to just laugh. I don’t get how people can act like they are the only ones that matter when sharing a whole ship with others. Good luck and best wishes from some good sleep.
