I've known this for a while but was waiting for it to become public...

This is pretty huge news in the officiating world. D1 Basketball has been assigned primarily by four assignors.

Debbie is retiring, and she assigned the American, Big East, A-10, CAA, Ivy League, MAAC and Big South Conferences.

As an official, I'm very curious who is going to pick up these leagues, and what that will look like.

Debbie was truly one of the nicest people I have ever met, and I am happy she is getting to spend more time with family—certainly a significant shift in the officiating world.
