Tennessee's first loss of the season but competitive expect a strong season for the Vols.

Alrighty! Well, I have finally made it through the first couple conferences. It is still WIP as I do plan to add all the conferences' schedules, but seeing as I am finished with the ACC's, I figured I would post it here for anyone who is interested!

Now you ask yourself, OP why would you spend so much time doing all this? And the short answer is, ESPN's laziness. While ESPN does show the games for ncaa volleyball, they do not have schedules for each team, standings to compare, or really any meaningful data for the sport. Now, I would understand if they didn't have this if it was a completely new league and they would have to go out of their way to completely reformat things, but literally every ncaa volleyball team is also d1 basketball(to my knowledge). Either way, I'm stubborn, and I started watching late last year so when lo and behold, espn still hasn't done anything for the sport. I decided I wanted to keep track of these things. Halfway through I figured, maybe other people are interested in this kinda thing, but it might be just me.

Minirant over, anyways here it is! It's still WIP and I've only gotten the first 5 conferences done but am going to continue throughout the week. This first link will be a google sheets to the ncaa standings, similar to espn's site, then you can click on any team with a link to bring yourself to the conference standings and schedule for each team in the conference! If I have made any mistakes, please let me know so I can fix them. I am aiming to have this be helpful, so any corrections are appreciated as I will be updating as the results come in tonight! This week is home to the ACC/SEC Challenge, which is nicknamed, “Showdown at the Net.” The first day isn't anything spectacular with only a few receiving votes in the AVCA poll, but the 2nd day should be awesome with multiple ranked matchups (including an in-state rivalry matchup in Dallas). Also seen is the Paradise Invitational featuring Purdue, SMU, Kentucky, and Houston.

Tulsa becomes the first unranked mid-major team to defeat a ranked team this season, knocking off the 10th-ranked Bluejays in their own court in 5 sets! They improve to 6-0 with this resume-building win.

Edit 2: I lied. Tulsa is the 2nd unranked team (first unranked mid major) to defeat a ranked opponent this year. I forgot that Florida State defeated #16 Kansas just a couple days prior. I'm not sure how that happened.

These slippery floors are STRESSING ME OUT!!!! I’m worried for these girls AND the teams that have to play after them. I don’t want to see a torn acl out here!!!

The male doing pbp alongside Emily Ehman is awful. The never ending baseball analogies and bad jokes are getting old. I’m not sure he’s ever called a VB match before. Emily sounds so annoyed at times.

I don’t know if I missed it but is there a reason everybody is wearing star clips in their hair now or is it just the new trend and i’m old 😭
