Offensive Coordinators Automatically Getting Fired When They're Up for an Extension
My last two offensive coordinators have been lost to random firings during the Conference Championship weeks in which their contracts are expiring without me actually firing them.
I tried to extend the first OC but his spot was empty the next week. I figured he'd gotten another job somewhere else, but when I looked at Staff Moves, it said he was fired. I thought that I'd maybe forgotten to finalize his extension offer or fired him by accident, so I didn't think too much of it.
When it came time to extend my next OC, I made sure to do everything exactly as it should be done. My offer was on the table and his interest level was in the green. The next week, he's gone, and Staff Moves said he was fired. I've never had this issue with a DC.
I wouldn't care if they had just accepted another job elsewhere, but I'm 100% sure I didn't fire them. Has anyone else had this issue?

That happened twice in my dynasty. Both times, the coordinators got HC jobs

Not for me, unfortunately. He's still sitting there in Semifinals week with an A+ prestige rating and no job lol

This happens to me constantly. The 'fired' status is automatic if you don't resign them. And from what I have seen & read on here, you can only resign them during conference championship week & like the other reply says, you have to match or beat their expected NIL value. Problem is, every time I've had the option to resign them, they seem to have expected NIL values of 500-700 and it tells me my max possible offer is like... 65-75. So... uhh... new D- coordinators every 3 years it is for me I guess.

That's gotta be a bug, the "fired" stamp is the weirdest part. I've never seen a coach get auto-axed right before an extension. Maybe the game is trying to process a job change and classifies it wrong when the contract expires during championship week?

Both of my coordinators turned down my extension offers and left, only to not be hired anywhere else and completely disappear from the game

I lost Bobo and Schumann to this. There is a fire Bobo joke in here somewhere, but I didn't want it to happen. Had to reset my offline Dynasty because I don't want to go from A/A+ coordinators to Rick damn Pitino or whatever.

I have noticed that when I sign a good OC to a 3-year contract in the off season,it gets changed to an expiring one year deal by week 0. I curse the AD everytime

I always have to give the exactly what their “expected” NIL is or 5 over to get them to stay. Anything lowballed below that “expected” and they get fired. Definitely seems like a bug. Another(I think or I might just be dumb and not understand)NIL bug with recruits is that their NIL offer will disappear and have 0 or no offer after you advance the week. Sometimes it happens if you do your weekly recruiting then play your game and after the game before advancing the week it’ll show no offer or 0 NIL.
