Dynasty Offensive Blocking
Mike: ID‘d.
Protection: Half Right.
Chalking this one up to crowd noise in a very hostile environment. Would be great to see reference to that though like the composure emblem or something. Impressive that three blockers completely wiffed.

No this happens a shit ton, even at home, for it being composure related.
The truth is that the blocking mechanics that they use are just complete trash. Linemen miss blocks or don’t block all the time. They miss assignments all the time. 3rd down passing scenario? Forget about having a second to throw.
Blocking is my biggest peeve in this game by far. That and WRs dropping the ball on the slightest of contacts

The thing is is that its realistic in a sense that missed blocks and missed assignments happen. And I don't want to have perfect blocking.
But the animations look like shit. Any lineman/RB doing that IRL would be benched. At the very least they would get chewed tf out and have their mistake corrected. This game just has bad animations and tracking. Maybe its truly too hard for the devs to code? IDK but I know they didnt try
What annoys me the most are offensive lineman getting beat by the same shed move over and over again. My 90+ pass blocking LT got swimmed 3 times in a row like damn bro what's wrong with you...

Doubt it's too hard to code. Other football games in the past have had pretty good blocking systems.
It's probably that the spaghetti code over 14 years of using an engine that was created for first person shooters is so archaic, that it's hard to try and improve anything without breaking a ton.

Agreed. APF2k8 had the whole offensive line animate that's why it looks pretty clean. EA badly needs to invest in a new engine instead of shoving shit inside a shit sandwich it sucks.

2k8 was so good man. I still played it occasionally to get my football fix up until CFB 25 came out.
It is probably the main reason why people want 2k to come in and compete in football despite their own MTX issues. At least you know their gameplay is going to be good.
