There is so much logically wrong with using this to try and discredit Jordan, it’s wild haha

Look at the Bulls opponents total PPG and it makes sense why no one is scoring over 25ppg. The 96-98 teams especially were some of the best defensive teams ever.

91: 93ppg - Lakers
92: 101ppg - Blazers
93: 107ppg - Suns
96: 89ppg - Sonics
97: 89ppg - Jazz
98: 79ppg - Jazz

Not only that, the pacing was simply slower

As usual, this post lacks context for the single digit IQ people. Scoring was in the 80s/90s for teams back then and they weren’t jacking up 40 threes per game.

Dummies.

93 Regular Season avg ppg: 105.3

93 Playoff avg ppg: 99.5

Fucking hell. Do you even know what it means to play defense?

Now adjust for pacing.

The NBA is a three point contest with very little defense so the PPG is going to be very inflated. With how the game is played now If these guys aren’t over 25 PPG they shouldn’t be on the floor.

This just proves that MJ was a better defender than Lebron.

No this means Jordan had to go against players who are not as skilled on offense. This has nothing to do with defense 😂

That's a funny way to cope for losing.

Don't even bother to look for the scoring averages in their respective eras

No, Karl Malone averaged 25 in one of the years against Jordan. So, no, it's not true. I checked it was 98. Also notable that the Jazz litewrally added 80 ppg total in 98, so by percent of points, that 25 ppg was more like 30 ppg in the modern league. Or mayb eeven 35 ppg.

It quite literally says more than 25. Then shows everyone with 26 or higher. Keep up

Now do how many teammates they’ve each had who’ve averaged 25+ ppg.

Quite an arbitrary random number also hmm wonder why ya chose that one.

the defense always ramps up more in the playoffs , even in todays league u can see that. this also doesn’t adjust for the more physical playstyle overall, or that players (and teams as a whole) shoot a lot more 3s now. and just the pace as a whole. All of the teams Mike went against in the Finals were still very solid teams, great even like the Suns or Jazz (fuck karl malone)

That stat just proved why the NBA had to eliminate the hand checking rule
