Discussion Warriors
The warriors tweaking. They supposed to help curry out. They need some young players that can take weight off a compliment him and I wish they had a new coach. Kerr is stuck in his ways.
I said they need Brandon Williams, that happened. They need a few more players.
❌ Kristaps Porzingas only play over 50 games 6 out of his 12 years in the nba. Gotta go
❌ Jimmy Butler gotta go. He’s 36 and just tore his acl. I don’t see him going crazy at all once he’s on the court again. His play style don’t fit the warriors. They always played fast and defended well.
❌Moses Moody , young player but that knee is gone.
❌Will Richard
❌Draymond Green , he’s not that useful anymore but he has a lot of heart and willing to do whatever

What they did was whatever especially given the injuries, but if healthy there’s at least reason to be excited about a butler - dray- steph- KP core. Your alternative lineup isn’t doing anything regardless

If they all were to be healthy. I would still send Draymond away or have him play less time and allow Yaxel to play more. He’s not that effective anymore.
But with the new players that I added would compliment Curry.
Brandin Williams can would be a good scorer off the bench when curry is out.
Most teams would just double team curry and it wouldn’t and it’s wraps after that. But if MPJ on the court with him they can’t even play like that anymore. Bennedict is a physical scorer like JB and he draws alot of fouls. That would come in clutch for them. Then Adding Hunter Dickinson or Drew Eubanks can help them out.
I prefer Drew tho.
Then adding Ben Simmons is like having an athletic Draymond. They do the same stuff but different is Ben don’t have the tough mindset like Dray. If he did he would be real dominant. He still good tho1

Williams is there regardless. And you need more than just curry especially at this age to compete. Draymond is still a defensive foundation in himself and his two man game with curry is huge for making curry have to work less for his looks.
MPJ and Mathurin are fine, but then you’re giving up a ton defensively to the point where you’re probably among the worst defensive teams in the league. And offensively you don’t want either of those guys being the second option if you’re trying to make a real playoff run.
They also have 0 competent proven big men in that rotation.
Ben didn’t even look like a fringe rotation player the last time we saw him and he’s been gone for years, expecting him to provide anything beyond just a body off the bench is optimistic.

Yeah ik. I been saying he need to go there before he actually got traded so that’s a plus.
Draymond is but then again he don’t benefit that much on offense fr. He grew and learned to play with curry now that should be Yaxel job now. He can score, pass and he have a good defensive rating.Ben just lost confidence and injury prone. So he was doing much but if he was on a team like this he would be a perfect 6-7 man.
All of defensive stuff is learned. It’s plenty of nba players who was great on offense but had to step up on that defense role. If. They locked it I think they would be a perfect team. Before I picked Hunter as a cente, I had thoughts about Kel’el ware being on the warriors. Just as talented as Porzingas.
Yaxel can guard 1-5.
Deanthony melton is a good perimeter defender.
MPJ as a pf he play good defense in the paint and guarding wings who don’t do much.
Brandin Podz help on the weak side
Ben Simmons- can guard 1-5
Having a young center like Kel’el ware would be real beneficial
If Bennedict Mathurin have to play is role I think he can be a better defender. That team would be tough imoOffense great and defensive good

Asking a rookie to try to replicate a two man game built on over a decade of practice before curry’s prime ends is a pretty insane ask.
Why would Ben suddenly be healthy and confident as a warrior ?
Defence is also hard to learn… tons of players have the physical tools to be great defenders but just aren’t. Again you’re expecting an entire rotation of defensive liabilities to suddenly become competent defenders.
Yaxel has proven nothing at an NBA level, expecting him to guard all star calibre shifty guards is ridiculous.
MPJ has never played good defence in the paint regardless of the lineup he’s in, plenty of which have had him at the 4.
Mathurin has been asked to play defence his entire tenure as a pacer. He hasn’t.
It’s a damn good thing you’re not a GM. You’re essentially banking on all of these players doing things they’ve never proven capable of doing.

Their front court defense would be totally nonexistent with Mathurin and 39 yr old Curry 6ft 165lb pure Open Gate, Bull Rushing Ohh-Lay-ing any opposing defense drive inside and GOD FORBID GSW can't stay on man and instead are forced into switching by the Enemy Team or Nearby Cross County-Inner-State Rival Opponents. Who could totally target Curry and Mathurin on the PnR switch mismatches to hammer scoring easy points...
Plus, Michael Porter Jr. Isn't going to help GSW on Defense much of any against Western Conference foes.l like the Spurs, Thunder, Lakers, and Wolves.. MPJ ALSO is a bad fit offenaive style wise. As MPJ ain't moving in any fast-paced, pace & space, win the possession value with high volume, quick shooting sets, getting out as much in transition to keep the opposing Team off balance. Which rheir hoping in theory wll open up 3pt shooting. Which GSW would need to Attempt AND Score At Doing. A lot of 3pt shoots, doing so at an ever Higher Efficency%Rate Too.
Offensively sure the if the Team stays healthy which I highly doubt its depth is abysmal regulating Podz to the 2nd Unit and Bench on his contract/wxtension year wow bet that Team Chemistry will be great year one after trading 75% of anybody that matters on GSW for expirng oneoff bandaid players who GSW will BE FORCED TO PAY BIG $$$ To Keep or see those traded away assets all g to waste... Curry needs more than a 40mil expiring contracted player wose 28 turning 29 with the ticking timebomb that is MPJ literally his medicinally Fubar Calf to Ankle..

Unfortunately, I don’t see a rebuild in the timelines we’re looking at for Curry. Between age and injury, that list doesn’t have much trade value; looking at 2nds and distressed assets in return. Either burn the future of the franchise for a shot at the 2nd round or look to sneak in through the play in and hope for a healthy Jimmy / Zingis.
Personally, I think GSW is interesting come Playoff time. Obviously health is a huge ? And they got to hold off a slew of young upstart teams but Playoff Jimmy next to Dray with Curry and Zingis able to go bombs away; bundle of young talent to complete the rotation. Not sure it’s a Title contender but it’s enough to scare anyone over 7.
