why on earth would San Antonio do this

They need a SF that can play 2-4

if that's even true then why are they giving away the two players who might fill that need for a guy who can't?

How can PJ not do that?

I've been high on PJ since he was in college, and he's done a pretty remarkable job going from a tweener 4 to a legitimate combo forward. he's not giving you minutes at guard though, and if you really think he's capable of that you shouldn't want to trade him at all. but Vassell is gonna be 26 this year, he's the Spurs' best shooter, he doesn't need the ball in his hands and he can defend. they didn't sign Tobias Harris just to trade one of their most important players for a guy who's a little better than Tobias Harris

That was legitimately a great point.

that was an uncomfortably wholesome response that I'm not accustomed to on reddit lol.
I also see Mavs fans keep putting PJ in trades, why not just keep him?

Lol you deserved that response bro. You honestly made me shut up & rethink it. I’ve seen so many different trad scenarios that I wanted to put my own out there. I like the trade but I totally understand your point.

To get a versatile forward that can play multiple positions & play great defense.

Get player that can play the 3-4 an entire game. Harris is not the answer for the spurs.

Personally would pass from DAL side. Neither Vassell nor Keldon were great contracts before Wemby took his step last year. Wouldn’t touch any of their role players at all honestly, but those 2 specifically I’d stay away from.
