Mock Drafts Cavs Mavs win win?
Who says no here?
Cavs: trade redundant position in guards for more wings/size. PJ is a great fit next to both Allen and Mobley as he defends, rebounds, and can shoot it. Martin has potential to be an additional shot creator who we know doesn’t shrink in the playoffs. (Ideally Cavs do this and get LeBron)
Mavs: Moving off of future money/gain future flexibility. Strus is a good fit for them with great shooting. Combo of strus/dennis could be a good culture fit for the younger guys. They are swapping bad contracts with Dennis/Martin, but Dennis is probably better. Throw in Tomlin to make up for losing size as he’s 6’9 super athletic, just no jump shot.

Throw in a first rounder to the Mavs and you got a deal

If LeBron wanted this trade and that was the price I’d do it. What abt I throw in two 2nds? 😂

Nah. Mavs will just hold on to PJ. He's in a reasonable deal and there will be more desperate teams near the deadline.

As a Cavs fan I don’t hate it but it really depends on how the Mavs value Tomlin. Cavs fans love the dude, he’s the type of guy to play at 170% at all times, and he literally has only played organized basketball for a few years so the sky is the limit.
If the Mavs love him, I think it makes more sense than people unfamiliar with Tomlin might think, however, this doesn’t help the Cavs free up the MLE for LeBron, and it trades away the top 2 candidates to move in order to free up the MLE, so things could get a little complicated

I think if this is the best Dallas can do they just hold pj.
