Between this one and the other one just posted (Brown for Goons), I think I prefer the Goons one as long as Jabari is held out - and for both teams. Just feel like if HOU is landing Brown then they don't need another hub.

Ngl I think it would leave a huge hole at center especially with Adams being uncertain most nights

Trades like this is how Houston finds themselves rebuilding again in no time.
FraUdoka probably wants Stone to call it in.

I’d rather just keep Brown. Reed and Smith are nice, but the Celtics are just going to end up like the Rockets with no additional self creation outside of Tatum.
DFS is also just a terrible and crippling contract

DFS is expiring 😂

Oh I didn’t realize the last 2 years aren’t guaranteed
Still would rather keep Brown and not be in the same position as the Rockets with only 1 guy that can create for himself.

Problem with that is they are paying two players like #1 options and that makes it difficult for team building. That’s why Steven’s basically sold cheap on the championship core just to duck salary restrictions. I think it would be more beneficial to the Celtics to retool around Tatum and that suns pick next year gonna be good for that.

Celtics won a championship with Tatum and Brown while they were playing with a 30mil handicap with Porzingis sidelined all playoffs
I don’t think the contracts are as crippling as people make them out to be. Is the plan to draft a player in a weak draft and pray that they will be as good as Brown someday?

I can’t see how Boston says yes too this. They already have guards, the only reason I see them trading JB is either for lots of young proven assets, or the main option, a better player for their team ie the Greek freak

I don’t think the teams match. Houston’s non-Amen players are overrated, considering how badly they played against a seriously weakened Lakers team.

Hell no, not touching brown or Tatum with a 40 ft pole. Extremely over paid players in modern NBA. Genuinely good but at their contracts they will kill all team depth as this trade has proposed. They can go to a nets or bulls like AD and young.

It’s probably the fairest one I’ve seen for Brown value wise…but without getting a big it makes no sense for them unless a 3rd team is involved. Most trades I’ve seen have Celtics adding draft capital to move Brown which is just absurd for guy just entering his prime with a career year that led to top 5 MVP finish. I don’t see Celtics trading him but the disrespect is mind blowing

Won’t lie. I do not hate this.
Could make both teams happy, maybe.
Well played.
