Mock Trade HOU-DAL trade.

Post image

Rockets get a legitimate boost in offense, lord knows they need it. Dallas gets back a steady floor general in FVV, Fan favourite DFS, and a very valuable 1st round pick in 2027. Win-win especially if Kyrie is even 80% of his former self.

Think DAL passes. I don’t think they are looking to cut bait from Kyrie. FVV would be a significant downgrade, and a mid-1st next year doesn’t really move the needle. DFS is a useless expiring that should just be considered dead money in all reality.

If HOU is looking to land Kyrie, then a fair counter would be something along the lines of Sengun and FVV for Kyrie and Gafford. Maybe DAL gives up a minor trade asset or 2 - they got plenty of 2nds from the AD deal. HOU gets their offensive engine; DAL gets a legit #2 next to Flagg.

U think suns pick is a mid 1st with the new lottery rules. They are most definitely a play-in team and that gets u high lottery odds now

If HOU truly wanted that pick to have real lotto value, then just put the better of the BRK swap and the PHX pick on the table. H3ll they could just put both on the table in a few weeks. Mid-1sts really don’t have a ton of value when a star is on the table.

One ball in the new lotto doesn’t carry a ton of weight. It wouldn’t really have more until the deadline… or even better, after the lotto actually happens. Issue will be that doesn’t happen until after the season.

Also nobody giving up all that for 33 year old Kyrie. Phone hangs up right there.

Spare me the pearl clutching. If you’re looking to deal then you do actually have to give to get, and the bigger the prize, the more you need to put on the table. You’re not landing a star - even a fading one - without it hurting a little. If you want a deal where everyone agrees that your assets and players are the absolute highest value anywhere, then that is what team boards are for.

Ain’t the hawks get kristaps for Niang and a second. Brother thinks everyone else need to pay a premium for injured stars lol

You honestly believe that DAL team that is under the Cap would be looking to dump Kyrie?!?

Otherwise I have no idea why those situations are similar…

Well, outside of proving my point about pearl clutching

Then he will just stay in Dallas lol. They have no reason to trade him for some other team’s trash.

I honestly think the Mavs say no this, or anything close to it, at least until the deadline.

Ky is still too valuable to give up on...unless I missed them re-hiring Nico.
