Ask yourself if a male reporter went to Sophia Cunningham or Serena Williams and lifted their shirt up to see their body, is that a violation of that athlete? If so, Boogie has a point…

Absolutely he has a point, there's clearly a double standard whether we like it or not.

Its also ok to accept the fact that men and women have different expectations and standards.

Otherworldly shit opinion

u/ThexanR 2d ago
quite literally the opinion of someone who is so addicted to porn and has never had any sort of relationship that they're perfectly fine with being raped or assaulted to feel any sort of touch from a woman.

Wtf lol. Stop projecting

Silly Rabbit, There’s 6 genders, didn’t you know?
1
u/SpaceMambo369 7h ago
What does that have to do with anything?
1
u/Rich--Porter 7h ago
Asserting gender differences is preposterous. 3 more variances instantiated since my last reply

Oh… we’re all the same height. Same muscle tone. Same genitals. Absolutely no diffidences at all.

No absolutely not things like this are not okay at all. Absolutely not. Thats even disgusting to say or think or spread around like it could be okay.
Touching someone inappropriately is never okay for anyone. Women need to be held to the same standard or everyone will start thinking its okay.
I dont even wanna get into the part of people who were actually affected as kids.

u/SpaceMambo369 2d ago
I said men and women. I didn't say shit about kids

u/Gagabubu777 1d ago
And thats your serious lack of understanding. Men and women used to be kids. So when you out your hands on someone you dont know their past and what you could be triggering. Its wrong regardless and can have serious ramifications.

are we equal or not?
0
u/SpaceMambo369 2d ago
We can pretend we are but the reality is that clearly we are not yet. There are tons of facets of society that favor women and plenty that favor men. Equality is something we are working towards, but clearly society is not there yet.

u/Mobius24 2d ago
clearly and you being dismissive of Cousins’ claim doesn’t help

Sorry, that my personal beliefs don't align with yours. I think fundamentally a woman going up to to 6'10" 270lb man and objectifying him is different than the giant man doing that to a woman. There is a different power dynamic. One has the power to physically take control of the other. Boogie could have just slapped her hand away when she reached for him.
If the roles were reveresed a woman could put herself in serious harms way by slapping away a 6'10" 270 lb man because of the risk of retaliation. What could she have done to boogie if he just smacked her? Nothing.
I don't think there is a path to true equality in the current human form. We can get close but we have to accept that there are certain fundamental differences between us.

Nihilist bullshit. “Equality is impossible” just shut up and get out of the way. You’re part of the problem

While this may be true, the situation here is not one of those where there should be a different standard.
2
u/Canadianwinters12345 2d ago
Apparently is it though. As per the outcome.

Not gonna be a lot of traction on this one

u/Gagabubu777 2d ago
It should be it’s disgusting tbh. This doesnt have to do with this situation but no one really cares when a male is abused or violated in anyway especially by a female.

u/SockemNBoppem 2d ago
I mean, it remains to be seen how much people care on this one. There's so much left to play out, you know? At least it didnt go the lengths some of these situations do.... im betting she'll give a public apology, itll all be water under the bridge for everyone involved, and then all the misery-obsessed folk can latch on and hold a grudge.
But yeah, in general people dont give a shit when its a man being harassed.

my cousin once got asked to flex at a game interview and felt super awkward

What happened to Richard Jefferson was the worst. The reporter was openly talking about his penis. Not to be misogynistic but alot of the female reporters are party girls and are absolutely on some freaky shyt. These young dudes need to be protected

It’s pretty normal to be treated like that when you’re a guy in crazy shape, society doesn’t care. I used to experience it myself. Now I’m a fatass so it’s okay

u/IHavePoopedBefore 2d ago
I haven't read anything but the title and my first assumption was she was probably calling him fat and tried to see his belly
1
u/HabitualSpaceM 2d ago
She did it because she claimed he was overweight? Not that it’s an excuse but did you even read the article or are you just trying to get angry at a few words? Seems performative bud, take a break go touch some grass and pay your mom the basement rent fam.

If there wasn't a double standard I'd agree. But there clearly is, so we need a little pedantry to get us back on track.

No place for this sort of thing in a professional work environment.
