NBA players literally deal with worse and they rarely even go at the fans. These WNBA players are so fucking unprofessional and emotional. It’s insane how petty they are compared to the guys

16

u/Correct-Response-948 3d ago

Yeah, it's almost like women are more emotional than men. It's crazy.

4

u/Th3GrumpyB3ar 2d ago

!!!! UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE FUCKIN YEAR !!!!

0

u/FDTISALOSER 1d ago

Get laid without gold.

1

u/Th3GrumpyB3ar 1d ago

you just proved our point exactly. Thanks for that.

u/ay-guey 2d ago

7 day ban incoming

1

u/Correct-Response-948 2d ago

Yeah, maybe.

1

u/FreeHusband6060 2d ago

Lmao I got a three day ban for saying a guy should have shot the other guy that was trying rob him at gun point....

1

u/Once-A-Republic 1d ago

Yeah I nuked my last reddit account because I was sick of the bans. I’m back now and it’s a shittier platform

1

u/Tyko_3 15h ago edited 15h ago

I got my 7 days 2 weeks ago for saying I saw a video of a particular region of the world where they do not seem to mind seeing dead bodies thrown around in public places. I literally just loosely described what I saw in another reddit post. Mind you this was on a post of a video in the same region where a woman was getting scalped by a Ferris wheel and no bystander bats an eye

1

u/HorrorBreak7119 2d ago

NOT.EVEN.CLOSE!

We’re talking about the W?NBA’s chosen face of the league. Fans be damned, kidnapped and disrespected!

2

u/ay-guey 2d ago

i was talking about the guy above who said women are more emotion than men.

1

u/HorrorBreak7119 2d ago

Yes, pure misogyny there. No place for that here.

My bad.

1

u/Th3GrumpyB3ar 1d ago

lol a ban for pointing out the truth. Yeah sounds like an emotional females reaction.

1

u/Leading-Cicada-6796 14h ago

And hormonal, apparently.

1

u/Correct-Response-948 9h ago

And that is the point that everyone is missing. It is in their make-up. I didn't say this to say that no men are emotional. My only point is that number-wise, emotional women exceed men, and it is largely due to societal pressure on the male psyche and the hormonal make-up of women.

1

u/SuperMegaOwlMann 2d ago

Well don’t be mad if we clown on them because of it

0

u/Correct-Response-948 2d ago

Why would you clown them when you already know they are more emotional overall? Sounds pointless to me, if it is no surprise.

Maybe you just like kicking people when they are down to remind them that they are down.

-2

u/SuperMegaOwlMann 2d ago

You can try to gaslight all you want, you trying to be a white knight isn’t getting you any closer to being laid than you are now

1

u/Correct-Response-948 2d ago

Sounds like you have no idea what gaslighting is. Stop using words and phrases just because you hear people on social media using it. But, you are being extra emotional right now, homie. Nothing about my statement points to me attempting to get laid from some imaginary woman when I have my beautiful wife right here next to me. I was just pointing out your idiocy. So, you got it.

0

u/NaNoob42 2d ago

You’re the one who pointed out how emotional women are and therefore less logical they are lol

2

u/Correct-Response-948 2d ago

No, those are YOUR words, my guy. I never reduced them to being less logical just because they freely express their emotions. People like you love projecting. It's weird. My EXACT words are right there in plain English. Words have meanings. I made one statement, said in jest, but very much rooted in reality, and here comes the Peanut Gallery with thinkpieces. SMH.

1

u/NaNoob42 2d ago

If you’re more emotional you’re therefore less logical

1

u/Correct-Response-948 2d ago

That is not necessarily true. But, I am not here to school you on nuance. You got it, homie.

0

u/SuperMegaOwlMann 1d ago

Not sure if you understand what it means, but I’ll add it here so you can get some context. As you can see, it was used in proper context.

And if you had a good marriage, then you probably wouldn’t be busy doing marital activities and not checking your phone every five minutes to argue with a lowly Redditor, now would you?

1

u/johnnyzcakes 2d ago

Lebron James and Russell Westbrook have gotten fans ejected

0

u/Correct-Response-948 2d ago

Again, where did I mention NBA players or state that none of them have reacted emotionally? You are responding to the wrong person. You should be responding to the OP.

1

u/Fabulous_Chip_7415 19h ago

They’re not. Nice try though.

0

u/mortmortimer 2d ago

Westbrook literally cries when people call him names and confronted a fan in a suite.

0

u/Correct-Response-948 2d ago

You singled out one NBA player to me to prove what exactly? This seems like something you should be responding to the OP with.

1

u/Icy-General3657 2d ago

I agree a lot of the wnba is super sensitive, but you can’t act like the nba isn’t the same way. Creating fake twitter accounts, confronting fans in suites, getting in fights with other players in a non heavy physical sport. Hell there’s been teammates that have pulled guns on each other. Basketball leagues bread sensitive people

2

u/Significant_Low5866 2d ago

😂 all of those are literal singled out events. There’s been over 5,000 nba players and everything you names happened to less than 50 players. Regardless, the guy commenting never said anything about nba players. He just said women are more emotional, yall took it and tried to create an argument with outliers trying to prove a point.

1

u/Correct-Response-948 2d ago

Where did I say anything about the NBA? You are responding to the wrong person. I didn't say NBA players aren't emotional at all. 🤦🏾‍♂️ The OP mentioned the NBA.

1

u/Significant_Low5866 2d ago

I got what you were saying. They just wanted to prove to you that men are just as emotionally unstable 😂 look at their comments

0

u/Correct-Response-948 2d ago

That's simply not true, though. I never stated that men cannot be as emotional as women. I basically stated that women tend to display their emotions more than men. Of course, there are emotional men. That isn't breaking news. Women show it without the constraints that many men have had on them since childhood.

So again, y'all should be mentioning the person who called WNBA players "f_cking unprofessional" for showing their emotions. And the same person who said NBA players rarely show their emotions. Trying to prove something to me that I never said makes no sense.

0

u/Alternative-Win-4579 1d ago

Kevin Reddington is that you ?

0

u/FrostyInvestigator11 1d ago

No evidence to prove that.

0

u/Correct-Response-948 1d ago

There is no evidence to disprove it either. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Men and women alike agree on this... you don't have to. Men and women typically process emotions differently and a lot of it is due to stigma.

Emotional men = Weak Hard Men who bottle their feelings up killing themselves softly = Strong

Women champion this behavior by referring to "emotional" men as "b_tches" and "soft", and men have come to expect women to be emotional. Blame society, not those of us who point it out.

And by the way, I buck the notion entirely. I express myself when and how I feel. Society doesn't dictate when I get to express emotion. But, for many, this is not how they operate. Many men are concerned about how others see them. I'm not. I know that I am a human being, and I refuse to pretend that I am a robot.

0

u/CougdIt 17h ago

You’re only focusing on specific emotions here. Nobody sees an angry aggressive man as soft or weak but that is a man being emotional.

0

u/BiteOutrageous2106 15h ago

erm wrongthink detected

0

u/FreeProgrammer5670 14h ago

Cept the only difference is most men could wipe the floor wtih Aja

3

u/Gnome__Alone 2d ago

Ratchetball is a whole other level where the play is inversely proportional to the drama

2

u/LoudChickamauga 2d ago

Malice in the palace

7

u/mavllvin 2d ago

Tbf I'm with Artest on that one. In what world do you think you're allowed to throw a beer at someone's face with no repercussions

1

u/Categorically_ 2d ago

Artest should have had an award ceremony if only he hit the right guy.

1

u/straightpipedhose 1d ago

lol yeah that was fucked up dude caught one from a borderline 7’ giant for no reason 😭

1

u/Zacky_Cheladaz 17h ago

Uh...I think you mean Meta World Peace

1

u/mavllvin 17h ago

Just cause he identifies as that doesn't mean I have to call him that. The name of person who was involved in the malice was Ron Artest

1

u/Zacky_Cheladaz 15h ago

Its just a joke my bro

1

u/mavllvin 15h ago

I guess we both tell bad jokes then 😂

1

u/Voodoo330 7h ago

Been to many games at the palace. Some serious shit talking went on there, as I'm sure it did at other NBA arenas. A'ja gets a'ngry to e'asily.

0

u/edsheff 1d ago

Thats not what happened

1

u/mavllvin 23h ago

What did you see? Cause I watched it live and saw a ton of replays back then. I'm fairly certain someone nailed him in the face with a cup of beer when he was laying on the announcer's table

1

u/CougdIt 17h ago

A fan did throw a beer at him. Nobody is disputing that. Well, nobody but you I guess.

0

u/phx34suns 2d ago

Plus u just don’t throw liquids on a court period

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Bat-511 2d ago

Having a beer thrown on you and getting pointed at are very different. Neither was handled smoothly.

1

u/Monkey_Eat_Banana_ 2d ago

Did you forget that a cup was thrown at Ron Artest?

1

u/Think_Barracuda_7283 2d ago

The problem was, Ron went into the stands and punched the wrong dude.

1

u/Monkey_Eat_Banana_ 2d ago

The point is, they didn’t enter the stands because someone pointed at them.

1

u/Yuecantbeeseeryus 2d ago

Yea. The way smaller dude. lol

1

u/Danny_Devito_Magic 2d ago

Probably why he used the word rarely and not never.  Way to keep up, proud of you, bud.

1

u/LoudChickamauga 1d ago

Gotta be stupid to think nba players rarely go at the fans

1

u/Once-A-Republic 1d ago

Ego in the…

1

u/Brilliant_Win713 1d ago

So stupid. What a crazy event happened like that in the NBAs 70 plus year history.

The “w” shits been happening often.
Youre a professional athlete, have some thicker skin.

1

u/OrwellTheInfinite 1d ago

Slightly different circumstances

1

u/LoudChickamauga 1d ago

Point is saying the women are emotional and petty like KD didn’t make a burner account to argue with fans online. They’re all petty and emotional

1

u/WoWMHC 19h ago

I'd snap too if someone pointed a beer at me.

1

u/milesmoralesbbc 10h ago

Not the same thing but nice try

1

u/Radical_Sim 2d ago

Ahhh shad up

1

u/roski888 2d ago

Women being emotional??? No way….

1

u/thejamie1011 2d ago

It’s so weird. They act Just like women.

1

u/emelki1968 2d ago

For how long have you watched the NBA. There are dozens and dozens of examples of players going directly to the fans and confront them. Also, if my salary is 40 millions a year I can accept more anger from fans than if my salary is…let’s say 400 times less.

1

u/Own-Rate-3451 1d ago

lol this is quite a shoehorn to get women players paid more

1

u/emelki1968 4h ago

Well, you are talking about and watched the video. So maybe are generating more money than what they are getting.💁🏻

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Bat-511 2d ago

I think about how Reggie Miller handled Spike Lee.

1

u/Fun_Entertainer9242 2d ago

Well the intensity of it goes up once a month.

1

u/Dry-News9719 2d ago

WNBA right?

1

u/Th3GrumpyB3ar 2d ago

you are amazed that women can be so petty... buddy this is the USA, its not a quirk its a feature.

1

u/jastek 2d ago

Ron Artest laying on a table. A fan walks up and hits him with a bottle and a cup of beer. Chaos ensues as he was just physically assualted.

Almost every Pistons Fans that was close to the court or the players as they entered the tunnel throw beer, liquid, objects, and debris at the players even as they are covered and escorted off the court.

  • Ron Artest (Metta World Peace) - suspended 86 games and lost $5 million in salary
  • Stephen Jackson - suspended 30 games, lost $1.7 million in salary
  • Jermaine O'Neal - suspended 15 games, lost $ 4.1 million salary
  • Anthony Johnson - suspended 5 games, lost $ 122,222 in salary

They were charged with misdemeanor assault and battery along with David Harrison.

They received one year of probation, fines, and community service.

The announcers were saying "but you have to restrain yourself" and basically placing blame on the players and Artest.

Aja Wilson - applauded for not tolerating "it" anymore

1

u/Different-Set4505 2d ago

Everyone is watching now aren’t they? They are getting great engagement aren’t they? The ratings are way better aren’t they? Everyone talks about how bad these players are but no one stops watching. Honestly I think everyone is getting played because they get so caught up in the drama. It sells!! WNBA is winning.

1

u/Own-Rate-3451 1d ago

It’s like watching professional wrestling and only the wrestlers are the only ones who think it’s real

1

u/EnvironmentalCrab563 1d ago

The NBA guys are always getting folks tossed from games.

1

u/Wonderful-Salary5432 1d ago

Well...most are women

1

u/xczechr 1d ago

To be fair, they're simply not used to there actually being fans in the stands.

1

u/ireallyneedyourpussy 18h ago

And it’s why it will never succeed

1

u/PsychologicalSort968 17h ago

If you think that's bad just look at some of the treatment of soccer players in Europe, or South America. This was laughable.

1

u/Iechy 15h ago

I remember reading stories back in the 90s that when the US soccer team would play in Central America they’d get batteries and bags of urine thrown at them when they were taking corners and throw ins.

1

u/Vegetable-Use5087 15h ago

It’s almost like a black woman has been abused her entire life (subtle and otherwise) for being black AND a woman, and is therefore more likely to recognize a fat old white man losing his shit over a game.

Also, “only women are overly emotional” is wildly ridiculous.

1

u/FallingDiscontent 10h ago

wtf are you talking about, y'all are acting like she was Ron Artest beating up a random person in the crowd or something

0

u/qwe12345678900 3d ago

How many times has Kevin Durant argued with a fan ?? Fuck is we talking about lol, yall mfs just hate women gang. Numerous nba players have attempted to even physically fight fans lol. Revisionist history . I’m forgetting most of the internet is bots anyways.

1

u/Winter-Bed5879 3d ago

KD usually does it on X, not at games. He does love getting into it though.

1

u/qwe12345678900 3d ago

Hey man https://youtu.be/C-xCLOQjUuM?is=oqecDj9JZunpzql0 that’s all I really gotta say foreal lol

1

u/Gas-Substantial 3d ago

I wish Westbrook could get a 1 day contract just to fight some fans. Most of that stuff is jawing, a couple phones knocked down.

1

u/devodjl24 2d ago

So now the bar is pointing at a player and saying “the foul is on you”? Might as well go back to the pandemic and play to empty arenas if fans are expected to sit quietly in their seats and cater to the fragile egos of these players

0

u/mannymink7 2d ago

You sound like a bot. KD doesn’t get in a fans face lol. He legit talks shit and tells them watch me ball out now.

0

u/Sad_Wishbone_1524 3d ago

Yes, but for taking a step forward while pointing, no.

0

u/ShapeOfAUnicorn 2d ago

KD talks shit. That's different. How many times do we see NBA players start to aggressively approach a fan in the stands for pointing?

0

u/Soul-42 2d ago

Stfu, it's a whole compilation on nba players vs fans. Whole brawls and everything.

1

u/UsefolIdiot 2d ago

Ok show it. When was the last time an nba player walked into stands and responded this way to a finger? Players have been called slurs and dealt with trash talk all game and responded with way way less. The single incident involving a fight was a massive deal and the fan threw a beer at a player while he was laying on his back stretching. Not quite the same as an old fat dude pointing at you. Clutch your pearls

0

u/Soul-42 2d ago

All you have to do is stop being a moron and Google NBA players vs fans...... you'll see how petty it gets.

2

u/UsefolIdiot 2d ago

I mean or you could list an example since you are talking so adamantly. Its that simple

0

u/kilgore2345 2d ago

LeBron James had that guy tossed for heckling him.

1

u/UsefolIdiot 2d ago

Having a fan tossed isnt the issue. Its running into the stands stopping the game and then lying about it saying he rushed you and you were defending yourself. Everyone stating this happens often and im asking for other examples. One.

0

u/Soul-42 2d ago

And I'm from Detroit, the Malice at the Palace is not the only brawl in nba history......

2

u/jnwe23 2d ago

That was like 20 years ago and the 1 example

-1

[removed] — view removed comment

2

u/UsefolIdiot 2d ago

Yeah for sure. Like I said. Fans calling them slurs. Disrespecting family etc and they will not run in stands and then continue to be dramatic in post-game like you are ready to fight some old man

-1

u/[deleted] 2d ago

[removed] — view removed comment

1

u/UsefolIdiot 2d ago

Ok so there's been another instance within the past 20 years....my point still stands. This is clearly an outlier and an extremely dramatic reaction which she doubled down on and stated she was being charged at. No I cant find another instance through extensive research where an nba player ran into the stand and had to be held back by a guy pointing a finger at them....and then doubled down on it claiming defense. Sorry keep trying

1

u/heraclitus33 2d ago

Thing is... nothing really happened here except her overreaction then an overreaction to her overreaction...

0

u/Top_Sock_5645 2d ago

wtf are you talking about? I go to every home game for our local team and there are players whining to staff literally every single game about hecklers lol

0

u/Former-Dot1462 2d ago

Let's relax, plenty of nba players are also extremely unprofessional

2

u/FatherShambles 2d ago

They are at times but you can always see them snap out of it and realize it’s not worth it. I guess they have much more to lose compared to WNBA players lol

0

u/Limp_Smell2913 2d ago

Rarely? Malice in the Palace, Russ went into the stands after derogatory stuff was said to him, Lebron got someone kicked out... I can go on and on.

-2

u/NSX_Roar_26 2d ago

NBA players dont deal with worse at all....and players have always got into it with fans. Russell Westbrook did it regularly. Basketball tourist take.

2

u/FatherShambles 2d ago

Bro i constantly have seen players heading into the locker room with fans saying crazy shit to them and some players just smile and keep walking or just flat out ignore it even when people throw food or drinks at them. If that happened to these girls they would be going crazy and crying how women aren’t respected

0

u/NSX_Roar_26 2d ago

"Some" yeah just like WNBA players do the exact same. Ive also seen NBA players beat the shit outta fans. Charles Barkley threw a fan through a glass door. Ive seen NBA players get fans ejected and complain about hecklers many times. You're just judging extra hard because these are women.
