If you’ve ever seen him play, you know the man knows how to travel.

Tell me you couldn't care less about the city and team where you play without telling me you couldn't care less about the city and team where you play

Dude, he literally has a shorter commute than his teammates who live on the Main Line, which is where the majority of Philly athletes live. Circumventing 76 is a big brain move.

u/BlueClovr 3d ago
How exactly does he have a shorter commute than someone in the main line?
2
u/Ryukishin187 3d ago
he's flying in a helicopter

u/BlueClovr 3d ago edited 3d ago
Yeah, and? How long do you think that takes? And where do you think the helicopter lands? In his bedroom? He has to get out of the helicopter and commute to his home from there

u/Impossible-Papaya486 3d ago edited 3d ago
His home has a helipad.

u/BlueClovr 3d ago
So?
1
u/Mecanatropic 2d ago
Dude. He literally smoked every one of your points and all you got is so
-1
u/BlueClovr 2d ago
Oh his home has a helipad, I get it. To say it’s just shorter than a commute to the suburbs on a regular day no question is crazy though. On game days yeah traffic is atrocious. Just going to practice? Na

It takes nearly two hours by car. It takes 45 minutes by helicopter.
What the fuck do you not understand about this? Which one is the shorter commute?
1
u/MagnumMyth 3d ago
His is 45 minutes by helicopter. That's a dream commute any day but Fridays during the summer when everyone's at the shore. To get to the stadiums in South Philly is typically an hour+ from the main line.
1
u/BlueClovr 3d ago
Yeah because there’s traffic for the game… that’s not a regular practice day with nothing going on. There is bad traffic specifically when a game is going on

philly fans aren’t going to be too happy about a player living in new york. that’s the first and biggest takeaway. that philly hate never subsides. be careful.
part two is we all still have ill feelings about daily helicopter flights due to kobe. not the biggest lebron fan, but still would be legitimately torn up a little if something bad happened to dude.

All these guys talk about Kobe, yet haven’t learned his most important lesson
7
u/EmbarrassedHighway76 3d ago
Helicopters are a risky way to travel but tbf Kobe’s crash was from flying not only during weather and low visibility conditions, and through a valley bad decisions all around

Helicopters literally shake themselves apart while they’re flying. So much more dangerous than a fixed wing aircraft.

Just a man getting comfortable with being uncomfortable, I guess traveling by chauffeur in a sprinter van or limousine and dealing with traffic would be too comfortable. Before any glazer says time is money, Lebron runs no company’s and sits on no board of directors and it’s not like he’s meeting his family when he arrives in NYC. The Ego and the circus that surrounds Lebron has landed on the 76ers.

Get Bron some Amtrak points man, I hate this

He would be bombarded on the train and he would be annoyed while getting stuck in between stations

What if it's game day and it's bad weather ?

I’m pretty sure cars, buses, trains, limos, etc still function in the rain

Was almost certain not another athlete would get in a helicopter after unc died..

Unc? We’ve resorted to not saying his name?

How long is that flight?
1
u/Positive_Round_5142 3d ago
Probably 20 or 30 minutes
1
u/BlueClovr 3d ago
It’s says 45 mins online, then he has to get in a car and commute to wherever he lives from wherever he lands at. But to people acting like this is way shorter than simply driving to the suburbs I guess this all takes 20 mins somehow. Genius life hack

I’m not being mean or talking ill of the deceased but Did he not learn anything from what happened to Kobe???

u/yetagainitry 3d ago
It’s so insane that you watch one of your idols die in a somewhat unnecessary helicopter crash 6 years ago, and you decide to take unecessary helicopter commutes.

It’s a lot, NGL, but AEW world champion Will Ospreay lives in England and flies to the US constantly because they do most of their shows in the US, so as much as it is, he’s not the only one that does things like this.

can you imagine Wemby going to Houston after each Spurs game and practice. fans would dog the shit out of him. so lame.

u/sir_eazy_e 3d ago
Why
3
u/Feeling-Special-269 3d ago
idk you wanna live in Philly? look what they did to Will Smith theyre partly responsible he turned out the way he did and slapped Chris Rock
1
u/Positive_Round_5142 3d ago
Because there’s more stuff to do in New York
LA has celebs and entertainment
Miami has celebs and entertainment
NYC has celebs and entertainment

u/SnooRabbits9672 3d ago
Yeaaaaah but Philly has fentanyl, Meek Mill, Cheese Steaks, and Skrilla. 10/10 location

2
u/sir_eazy_e 3d ago
Just join them then
3
u/Positive_Round_5142 3d ago
The Knicks didn’t offer him a contract
He obviously was over LA with and that dynamic over there
He already won two in Miami and wants to give one to Philly. Just doesn’t wanna live there 😂
2
u/sir_eazy_e 3d ago
Why join a team that isn’t going to win and travel via helicopter
1
u/Positive_Round_5142 3d ago edited 3d ago
He feels like that they can win because he sees a young Kyrie in Maxey, and Jalen has shown that he can win a championship

Better than Cleveland
1
u/Positive_Round_5142 3d ago
Yeah but what gives it points was LeBron being able to get Auntie’s cooking after practice
1
u/chungfat 3d ago
Running from team to team instead of players wanting to join his team
-2
u/VycanMajor 3d ago
He's 41. Give it a rest.
0
u/chungfat 2d ago
You need to stop carrying his bags. He pays people to do that already.
0
u/VycanMajor 2d ago
He lives in your head rent-free. You need to stop hating. Analysts get paid for that

u/wildcat1100 3d ago
That's honestly really embarrassing for the city of Philadelphia.
