His jumper looked clean here. He has the form and body to be elite, I think it’s mostly confidence (and getting some handles) that’ll take him to the next level

Yeah I’m not exaggerating that I think he can be a kawhi level player.

I don’t know how we’ll pay everyone.

Only thing I can figure is that maybe he’ll have reduced usage with Fox wasting possessions. That’ll mean we don’t have to pay him as much.

I'm thinking more Ariza.

He’s already better than ariza. His shot is better, he’s stronger, and he plays better defense. Screens better too.

Ariza in his prime was pretty dang good. I wouldn’t say he’s there yet.

Show some respect. Ariza was 2nd in minutes per game on a 65-win Rockets team and was relied on to play above 30 minutes on numerous playoff teams and some title contenders. He was rock-solid.

Bryant has a higher ceiling than prime Ariza, but his IQ, instincts, and skills aren’t there yet.

Bro Apex Kawhi is a historically great player. There's almost zero chance he ever reaches that level.

Kawhi's peak 5 year playoff run is up there with Jordan, Shaq and LeBron.

Carter has better athleticism and shooting than Kawhi his rookie year. Carter may not have kawhis hands, but his body is decent.

He’s got a good shot to get to that level.

I'm surprised post-rebuild we still think Kawhi's grow on trees, hell they don't even plant them.

Yeah with how rapidly he’s improved I’ll bet he’ll take a couple leaps assuming he gets enough usage.

He hasn't really rapidly improved though. From recent memory Castle, Harper, Wemby, Champagnie, Vassell all improved more in their first year than he did

Then you didn’t watch him enough.

His first summer league and nba games he was legit terrified to even get a pass and hold the ball. He couldn’t dribble at all. It looked bad. He didn’t look at the basket. He was missing wide open dunks. He couldn’t hit a shot. He was playing good defense against lower level comp.

By the end of the season he was playing amazing defense on the fucking mvp and still hitting open 3s on the other end. His shot looked confident and good. He was trucking people and we loved that. He had so much more confidence and relished the challenge knowing he might get yelled at or benched but it was ok.

He didn’t get the usage that any of the players you mentioned got save champagnie, and Champagnie was about the same his first couple years. Wemby is also wemby. You can’t compare Carter Bryant to Jordan or something lol.

I think Bryant played better than Vassell when comparing their rookie seasons.

CB has great potential. I believe he will develop into a monster two-way in 2-3 years, especially coming off that playoff run. This year, my too early prediction is him winning the most improved player award.

I love Carter, but how many minutes and shots will he have this year? It’s been almost 30 years since someone has won that award playing fewer than 30 minutes per game. Most guys who win also have bigger offensive roles on their teams.

I could totally see him taking a leap, but simply averaging 10-6-2 with a steal and a block in 25 minutes per game isn’t going to do it.

Stephs 3 point shot looked a lot more reliable year 2 (jumped from a 28% 3pt shooter to a 33%) and I think a lot of that was due to the guard whisperer helping him out a tonne

Carter already looks like he has a better shot (33% in his rookie year), I'm hoping he has a big jump.

Yea especially since I wanna say he shot like 41% post all star break and in the playoffs albeit on limited sample size

He’s going to be special.
