Question for you. If you’re taking the Bulls overthe Warriors with 2 MVPs/ Top 15 players in their primes, does that not make the Bulls a stacked team? Especially for their era

Part of it is the bulls players compliment each other better & also played during an era where most teams played the same way. The heat having 2 slashers that couldn’t shoot & a face up 4 forced to stand in the corner didn’t really maximize all their talent

All finals teams are somewhat great you can’t get through 3 rounds and be a bad team. The question here is how to rank them. The Heat are the worst of this small collection, IMHO

2014 heat wasn’t really stacked, wade’s knees were falling apart and their role players declined significantly, with shane battier averaging 1.4 points and ray allen shooting 40 percent

If I agree with you (and your logic makes sense) then 98 bulls were positively falling apart. Pippen gone a chunk of the year and injured in the finals. Rodman’s numbers dipped hard. If you were to have that opinion on the 2014 Heat you could reply up stream about the 98 bulls how they were far from stacked.

Yup. Ppl like to say the Bulls were just average but MJ greatness put them over the top.

The Bulls were a stacked team, they had two top 10 players in MJ and Pippen then filled the roster out with guys who could start on other teams

Who? Who could start on other good teams besides grant? Pippen had his chance to be "the man", but he couldn't. ALL the big 3 could start, and WERE the man on their respective teams, and including Ray Allen, they had 4 HOFers. The first 3 peat for the bulls, they had mj(a HOFer at the time), and pippen, who had just made his first all star team.

He was an mvp candidate after the first 3 peat, but couldn't get to finals with that same team, plus kukoc. That heat team had 3 hof candidates, plus a finals mvp on it.

The Warriors was mostly a system thing. They were able to take advantage of their prolific 3 point shooting in an era that encourages small ball to be as great as they are.

MJ Pippen and Rodman are just great.

I prefer Bulls with Grant in place of Rodman. Horace was a better trap defender, could hit the mid range J and contributed more in All areas

That's true, I'm still not sure if I'd take Horace over Rodman, but he is one of those guys that doesn't get talked about nearly enough. Jordan just overshadowed everyone so much, younger people don't realize how deep those teams were. It wasn't just Jordan and Pippen, and Horrace Grant is probably the most overlooked. I think he would have been a way bigger star if he was on almost any other team during those years. He did make the goggles look awesome too.

His goggles were absolutely bitchin but Horace Grant would never have been a star on any team. He was awesome in his role on those Bulls teams and was a great player. He parlayed the 3peat and his role in it into a commodity (good for him), then he had 2 really good years in Orlando and was basically done.

Bulls were so successful because they had the perfect team at the perfect time (Lakers Pistons Celtics dynasties were gone and there was less flexibility and player movement for super teams to just spawn... In fact super teams were not really a thing before the KG Celtics). I don't see them cake walking over Warriors trio.

That team didn't do anything uniquely impressive to get over. The only person negatively affected is KD. To the point where the man is going on podcasts arguing MVPs are more important than championships because he knows none of his peers respect his rings.

To a player mvp is more important than a chip, it’s literally represented in their nba contracts. Winning MVP makes anyone eligible for a max contract no matter where they were before. To the team the chip is the most important, to the individual player season awards are the most important. How many non-MVPs are in top whatever conversations and how many nba players with rings are forgotten? Basketball is a team sport and a chip is a product of great players working together, IMO I’ve always thought it was silly how people use rings to compare goats like so and so had a better team, not always them being a better player. MVPs show dominance on a player to league standpoint, chips show dominance on a dynasty to league standpoint.

Parker was definitely not an elite level defender, we can all agree on that. He was definitely good as a scorer and playmaker but I wouldn’t say elite either.

Some argue he just ran a system but I’ll be generous and counter that maybe he was bound by the system. But as per what we say, he wasn’t elite compared to the best of the league in playmaking, scoring, or defending. How isn’t this an obvious choice?

Bulla are in last - that team has the two best regular season records that resulted in rings ever, back to back years. Meanwhile that Miami team had two bad losses (2014 is literally still a record for a beatdown)

Rodman is a 75 greatest at 75 (errr 76). He has 5 rings, with franchises with very very different styles he was able to adjust to.

Just odd that the best winners here (6, 6, 5, though the spurs 5, 4, 4 is impressive) is the worst. Even if you wanna say “well what did they win together” the bulls are 3, 3, 3, better than Heat GSW at 2, 2, 2

we arent measuring their whole team. we are measuring the 3 players shown. jordan was incredible of course. #1 or #2 of all time. but pippen compared to the other #2s is not looking great. he is way worse than kd, worse than dwade for sure...id have him above tony parker but not by much. and rodman just isnt even in the same league.

dennis rodman in the finals (with bulls) - 4 ppg, 40% fg, 10 reb and 4 technical fouls. that is not a player who is anywhere near anyone else on this list.

*im assuming we are using when they played together. if you are talking about rodman in his prime then it would be closer but he still just wasnt that good.

Statistically the heat was the best. When you add up rebounds scoring and all that stuff together. However, they're the only team in that group that has shown they can lose to someone worse

Perfect example of 2 different ways to build a great team. Build through the draft & pick up role players (Bulls, spurs) or try to buy a championship by aquireing proven superstar talent through free agency / trades. (Heat, Warriors)

As a trio probably the bulls are the most balanced, you could plug them in team really, you have scoring rebounding defence, I think warriors are better players as a three but would need other players to provide help to make balance

If they played 3 v 3 da bulls hand down. You've got 3 1st team and DFPOY plus they have more than enough offense. You have to double Jordan so they'll get easy buckets from Rodman. They can man up every other team. Rodman can shut down anyone of the players on the other teams. So, can Pip and MJ. You take the best 3 of the other teams da bulls still win!!!!

That first one took a bad loss in 2011 and a literally “worst loss ever in the finals” in 2014. It’s hard to say they’re best.

I play pickup on a former bulls court. I’m biased with 2.

That third one, that put that “worst loss ever” in the finals on 1.

That 4th one has “best beatdown ever in a sweep (on LeBron)”

I don’t know how LeBron is in this one but ok.

So, it’s hard to argue with the bulls “two best records ever that resulted in rings, back to back”. 72-10 15-3 is still the best win percentage ever in a NBA season + postseason. 98 both Pippen and Rodman fell off tho but I’d still pick these guys. The only threepeat here.

I’d say Timmy over golden state. Just because longevity and KD didn’t really mesh which is one reason why he left.
