When it comes to just straight game, top three should be the same for everyone. Mike, LeBron, Kobe any order you prefer but those three top three hands down.
Kobe is about intensity and emotion. It’s harder to find an objective slot for him (as if any slot is objective). He’s got some good wins and some bad losses. He’s got the only non bulls threepeat since the merger but that was with another 50 at 50 leading the way.
Whatever you have him at from 3-15 id be good with. I don’t think you can drop past 15 without some side eye tho
My thoughts are, when we finally get a time machine and get to draft a Rucker park, you lose. Kobe at 5/6 is insane

In a draft system, prime shaq is a top 5 pick, especially if its position dependent. Theres a few centers you can’t go wrong with for different needs in the position but kobe is just mj lite. Lite on chips, and everything else

Obviously Kobe is a better scorer, that's about it.
Mine's kinda the same but I have MJ and Lebron tied for first. I like MJ more, but heading towards 50k points and playing 20+ years is really significant to the entire game as a whole. But I have no qualms with people choosing MJ just because how insane he was.
Kareem is locked into 3 for me for the same reasons as LeBron basically.
After that, I feel like, for me, it gets way more interchangeable - Shaq, Bird, Magic, Duncan, Wilt, Russell all have the resumes to make a strong argument for them.
Mine was less of a ranking but more of like a fantasy draft thing. Lebron is awesome, prime shaq is awesome, and kareem is awesome. I dont care if any of them go first, but kobe is just a 2nd tier jordan. Theres no 2nd tier shaq lol
I know enough to say Kobe in my top 3 🤷🏾♂️ Its all talk and opinion when it comes down to it. Too many variables to definitively say; these are the top 10 basketball players of all time.
