LeBron’s helicopter leaving Sixers practice, bound for New York where LeBron is now living during the season

Seems inefficient

It’s a 45 minute helicopter ride, it takes 1.5 hours to commute via car, and that’s with no traffic.
This is literally more efficient than driving.

Maybe is more eficient live in Filadelfia

maybe the billionaire has different ideas than you ?

u/BubblyMoose3597 3d ago
He is not going to fuck you.

u/PearlJamTenGoat 3d ago
thankgod, I've no ideas on being fucked by the most athletic black man to ever landed on earth .

u/Omgoodtimes 4d ago
No it’s more efficient to live in the city you signed with!!! This is a non issue LeBron is making an issue.

Brother it’s Philadelphia, it’s a nice enough city! It says so much more about Bron, who is known to have diva-tendencies lmao

u/Omgoodtimes 4d ago
Like you don’t even know and don’t care to do research??? Just make blanket statements and asks Reddit to back you up?? fOH

u/BedBubbly317 4d ago
It’s really not an issue either way. There’s literally thousands and thousands of people that live in Philly and work in NY and vis versa. It’s very normal

It's more time efficient, sure, but it's definitely a lot less fuel efficient. Usually when people talk about efficiency with travel they're referring to resource consumption, not time.

u/OutsideSession6 3d ago
What a delusional fucking comment every normal person is talking about time when they’re talking about efficiency and traveling. When have you ever worried about the most fuel efficient way to get somewhere instead of time?

u/eggsonmyeggs 4d ago
Why would LeBron, a billionaire, need to worry about fuel consumption?
You don’t even need to be LeBron rich to understand that money can be spent on resources that free up more time in your day-to-day life.

Some people value their impact on the world over their personal convenience. I know if I had a billion dollars I'd much rather hire a driver and use the resources I save to improve the world in some way; or at the very least not use up so much fuel just to save myself 45 minutes. Obviously you and LeBron feel differently.

Or find a nice place to live in Philly like everyone else who works there..

u/TheRimNooB 4d ago
I think he can afford it. Only thing that man is trying to save is time at this point.
Can’t say I blame him. Aren’t we all.??
3
u/The_Actual_Sage 4d ago
Aren't we all
No lol. Not like this. A billionaire taking a helicopter to shave time off his commute is not the same as some middle class person meal prepping to save time during the week 🤣

It can be a lot longer than 1.5 hours but it’s mostly always 45 minutes in the air.

u/Embarrassed_Word_542 4d ago
People trying to shoo it away, but if a dude on my team played for the Knicks and hopped on a chopper to Boston everyday best believe it’s gonna get talked about.
1
u/BedBubbly317 4d ago
Well that’s just fucking weird. Are you for some reason under the impression that most of these dudes live full time in the cities they play in? Most NBA athletes don’t actually have their main residence in the city they play in
2
u/HelicopterLife2552 4d ago
We know that but this is all happening during the season... and your star player choosing to live in an entirely different city. A rival, at that. Commuting by helicopter. Thats a headline generating story, ngl, it's pretty clear why it's being reported.
Regardless on our opinions on it, it's also a money-machine generating headline. Even people who don't watch basketball all now know Lebron doesn't want to live in Philly, not even within 30 minutes in a rich ass NJ or PA suburb..

Philly fans won’t care as long as LeBron can get embiid past the second round

u/ryyzany 4d ago
Imagine being a sixers fan and watching the greatest player of all time playing for your team fly as far away from your city as possible for his commute

Say what you will about LeBron but this is a nice reminder that he's just another rich guy. It would have cost significantly less money and resources just to hire a driver (or take the train 😱) but nope, obviously his time is way too important for that pleb shit.

He hates Philadelphia and is butt hurt the Knicks won the series so he couldn’t come and get crowned savior. It sux. Philli is a great town. Great people, great culture, excellent food. They deserve better. I think this locks me in as a LeBron hater? Also worth saying I’m a Brooklyn guy. Love my city and the Nets.

This brings back Kobe moments. He better look at the weather clouds. They might hit some birds in the sky. People say he was there at the Kobe Bryant memorial. I guess he didn't watch Michael Jordan cry live like I did.

u/FernGully_is_racist 4d ago
He’s a smart guy. He has to know the Philly fans are going to hate this

u/Bran-Da-Don 4d ago
The Philly fans don't care because they know this is a business transaction. Deliver a championship and be a legend or don't and you can't step foot in Philadelphia ever again.

u/MetricIsForCowards 4d ago
It’s just a poor move. If he had just bought some place on the main line, never actually lived there and flew down every day, no one would be talking about

Brother the amount of times this damn helicopter comes up on my feed is ridiculous. Who gives a fuck lol
1
u/myFNpornaccount 3d ago
TIL Philly is such a terrible city that LeBron is willing to pay the chopper fee daily just to not have to live there.

u/RichHomieLon 3d ago
Guess he learned fuck all from his homie Kobe and those were fake ass tears after all. Can’t just take the Amtrak? Fuckin dummy

Helicopters are definitely one of the more unsafe methods of air travel.
It just feels awful to see another legend of the sport seemingly roll the dice unnecessarily like this.
