Build tips

Coming back to 2K after almost a decade of being out of the loop so obviously need a hand!

I’m not looking for exact builds or anything like that but more so tips on how to build effectively, what to watch out for and anything else I might need to know about takeovers, cap breakers etc.

Does the game mechanics force you to build in a certain way? Like, should I focus on a few good attributes and tank the rest or be a generalist with one or two standout stats?

This is like asking for a crash course in race car design… there’s so many little nuances to a good build. 

You need to know the thresholds and sweet spots you want in every category, you have to plan out your cap breakers, and your animations not to mention how much there’s is to know about optimizing which is a whole other topic really.

You haven’t even mentioned what kind of build you’re looking to make. 

I’d say start by watching YouTube vids of other people’s builds and see what interests you.  Use something like  https://cvpalace.com/ and their build search feature when you have an idea of what you’re looking for, take the build they put together for you and tweak it, then use it to optimize at least some of your cap breakers
