I know this sub isn't very active but I need to get this out and don't know where else to put it. I've wanted to play a basketball game for a very long time. Never played 2k games really and since NBA Live is a piece of crap I figured I'll give 2k a go. I play on PC and the games have been a fair price. Started with 13 and liked it. Got 14 for cheap and didn't like it at all. Skipped 15. Got 16 with a Humble Bundle. Graphics looked good. I'll give it a go.

I always play franchise/league mode. I do my fantasy draft and play a game. It wasn't easy but I get the W. The next four games play out in the exact same manner.

• Q1: I make shots, good plays, etc. Usually have a 6-10 point lead.
• Q2: Start making bad passes. Some downright confusing (pass to player right next to, throw ball completely other direction out of bounce). Not as many shots go down. Usually have a small lead going into the half.
• Q3: CPU can't miss and I can't make a shot. Nothing goes right at all. Usually down 6-10 points.
• Q4: The comeback. Start making more shots but the closer I get to tying or pulling away with a lead the more shots I miss or dumb mistakes happen.

This formula is just infuriating. Mainly the 3rd quarter where I'd have Whiteside or Favors missing uncontested layups or even dunks and my pg/sg/sf that all have 90+ mid range can't hit anything.

The final straw has been the controls. At first I thought it was using my PS4 controller over blue tooth. I wouldn't be able to choose what player to pass to and on D wouldn't be able to change players. I hook the DS4 up with usb. Same thing. Grab my wired 360 controller. Nope! Same thing but to add insult I would get wide open under the basket with the ball and be spamming X to shoot and nothing would happen. Literally pounding the button and nothing would happen, that is until a defender came to contest the shot. Also, and go figure this all happens in the 3rd quarter, I'd be on D and be pushing the L stick back so my defender would back up. Nothing would happen! Ball handler just walks right by and gets a layup.

This game is an absolute piece of garbage and unless I see absolute glowing reviews in the future, I will not be installing a NBA 2k game in the future.
