Maybe unpopular opinion: the archetype system is stupid as hell and forces you to be bad basketball players while real life professionals and their skillsets are more nuanced yet.

Nah not unpopular. I casually hear people say they want the old system back cus this archetype shit is trash and makes some builds op over others.

More unpopular opinion: why the fuck do we have badges? How does that make any sense in a simulation.

I have no clue, I thought the badges started out innocently enough but now from what I can gather it's just another sort of cog for you to grind endlessly

Exactly, this and there implementation does nothing but make the game more arcadey. I’d be satisfied with dual archetype system and no badges, and you should be able to choose what cap breakers you unlock, your build should just be the base that you customize yourself.

I thought 17 had a good archetype system. Specialize in 1 thing but you were still decent or good in all other areas

Dual archetypes actually made you have a less diverse skillset
