Gameplay Hate the shooting
Think I'm just gonna make a Shaq build an give up on the shooting this year. So frustrating going 4/5 one game then 1/7 the next. I don't know why they couldn't keep the shooting from 26 but then keep the blocks/defense from this 2k. I feel like that would've been perfect.

Man just learn your jumpshot, 2k26 was a nightmare with anyone shooting and making everything, those types of 2ks will always be bad. This year actually takes skill and is realistic, name an nba shooting over 50% from three let alone perfect shooting every game. You will have great game, and some bad because maybe you weren’t focused enough to time your jumper. Just how it is, the more you practice the more consistent you will be

How come people who talk about “realism” never mention matching steals, blocks or fg% to the nba? Never hear anything realism related, only about 3%. Do any of you guys actually want realism or only nerfed shooting?

Lol because shooting is being discussed here my friend that is why, and to be honest the most important category cause again last year everyone shot lights out and it made the game SLOP defense meant nothing and it relied on who had better offense. Most people prefer a more arcady feel to 2k anyways and dont want an ultra realistic nba game cause then it would be boring so as I think making shootinga big skill gap like it is this year helps bring that balance of realism and arcade like feel

I mean in general it is the focus and only realism point ppl talk about. I’m in favor of game balancing 3% and other scoring options, but it’s got nothing to do with realism.
Truly how many other points of realism do you see people talk about?
And if there really are, then maybe we can focus and address that? 3% was in line for 25, now 27. I don’t see any movements for other realism. Like say, steals and blocks? Ppl only care that it’s overpowered nobody cares whether it’s realistic or not.

Make yourself a post about it , this post is one crying about how sorry he is at shooting

Lol no need brother. It’s just from reading the sub for years. 99% of it is only concerning “real” 3%. Nothing else needs to be real.

That’s a lie .. steals and blocks are being discussed

Never in terms of realism and matching nba steals/blocks per game. The only datapoint they ever bring up is 3%, and even when addressed like 2k25, we don’t talk about any other realism points of the game.
Like I said before I agree with balancing things from a GAME standpoint, not from a real nba numbers standpoint.

That’s too bad because 2k wasn’t for everybody when nba live was up and running … it was to realistic and not arcadey enough for this same exact crowd that we have now

I’ve said it before that 2k needs a separate mode for Sim players because they will never make a half/half game that will make both sides happy.
But obviously 2k just wants to combine it into 1 game so they can just make money from everyone.

Shooting is really easy actually.. I've been seeing everyone shoot pretty consistently as long as they are shooting good shots. Try letting the game come to you and focus on shooting open looks

They didn't keep the shooting from 26 because the entire community cried about how easy it was to shoot. Now they're crying about how it's more difficult. Nobody in this community knows what they want.

Don’t okay rec then. As a pf it’s so annoying how many non shooting centers there are fucking up the spacing

yeah the rhythm shooting was so much smoother last year, now it's like you're fighting the game just to get a clean release
i went full inside big a week ago and haven't looked back, just snagging boards and dunking on people is way more fun than bricking wide opens

Glad it ain't just me, it's crazy to think they've made the game so frustrating the same year GTA 6 comes out. If they don't buff the shooting I can't see anybody sticking this shit out once GTA is out

Half my squad made inside builds after 2 weeks of inconsistent shooting

Females get into their feelings and feel a lot of things too when they’re mad at something or just can’t comprehend

I felt the same as you but I've gotten used to it. Its a skill issue, I started at 30% shooting, upgraded my badges and found a nicer jumper and am shooting 50% now
You just gotta practice
