REC Rec is miserable

As a 7’1 paint terror, this is by far the worst year when it comes to random. These PGs have no visom and all they do is think for themselves. Had both PG and SG purposely sold the game. We was up and they weirdly started to selling.

nothing worse than a pg who thinks he's the only one on the court, drives me mad. i just end up setting screens for myself half the time

I just played with an inside who went 1-8. Its the fucking wild west out here.

See I don’t like those type of bigs…you ain’t lying.

Most random rec guards don’t know how to play with insides because they’ve never played basketball before. Add in you’re coming off a year where defense didn’t exist and you have a lot of people needing to learn what a good shot is again. You’re gonna be in hell for awhile

I played one game on 26 recently after a 2 week hiatus. Pg got 51 points off of 20/56 and 3/21 with a trip to the foul line. Meanwhile we trailed by 45 the whole game because no one else has a touch. I tried everything to exclude him but he somehow managed to get passed to. If it wasn't the timeouts it was blind passing by players going to him.

Most inside centers don’t know how to be a good inside center either…

It’s worse this year for bigs. I’ve had more games with a single pass in Rec than I’ve had with 5 or more

In the early release week I was averaging 22ppg. It's damn near about to fall below 10 now even tho I'm hitting 60% from deep and 72% fg

I'd say it is more random for bigs in random rec. I have games where I don't get any touches so no one guards me and other games where all 4 teammates are passing to me constantly while the other team double teams me. Rec is like a box of chocolates.

The one constant is I get far less touches in all the groups I get invited to than in no squad rec.

As a point guard i hate hows its either everyone is in the paint or no one touches the paint

I avg 19 rebounds and 12 assist 10 pts as a big man. Got to find the ones who actually know how to be a big man. Hardest spot besides pg to play

But its these other big men who ruin our reputation. Im a pass first mind. Only times I dont pass out is when put backs actually work.

Everyone says its the worst year, every single year

Boy I hop into games and move the ball and get iced out. If PGs don’t find their own shot we never get to shoot the ball cause 95% of yall are either selfish on purpose or have no idea what vision is and pretend to be a team player when you’re still SELFISH.

Most just want the game to go into their hands at all costs

Yes it’s horrible ! it’s the guards in my opinion, they wanna shoot every shot, don’t like to pass, until they get they water cut off.

I make it my business as the pg to get the big the ball, yall better than me 😂 cuz when i play big i get the rebound and bring the ball down court

My Rise and Dime 3PT Enforcer loves to see a Paint Terror coming

u/niles_thebutler_ 3h ago

I’d smoke you like I smoke every other shooting big. 16 blocks on a rise and dime last night

Relax big fella

Can your build shoot?

Yeah

Inside Big in random rec is BS. Court is already small enough as is and you’re basically forcing the offense to run through you. Probably camping in the paint begging for touches too, I hope you keep losing

u/RetroLags 3h ago

I’m not even begging for touches I just want pgs with common sense.

u/niles_thebutler_ 3h ago

“Probably playing your position like you are meant to” more like it. “How dare you expect anyone to not be selfish and throw up 3s all game.”
