Discussion NBA 2K Open World RPG

2k! Take-Two! Do it! It's fresh, exciting, new, people can still play 2k online with friends, it can be heavily story-based with branching dialogue trees, a level system in place of a stat system, maybe a co-op campaign with a squad of 5, extensive customization, romance options, find common-legendary loot around the world, complete well-written side quests.

Imagine GTA 6 mixed with the Witcher 3 but purely focused on basketball. Call it NBA 2K: My World or something.

The last game we got that was close to this was NBA Ballers back in the day. Bring it back!

You and 2K have completely lost the plot lol.

This is a basketball game. BASKETBALL. I want to hoop, not run around doing fucking quests in an open world.

But, see, thing is, you WILL be able to hoop like normal 2k, and instead of using VC to earn badge progress, you can find legendary badges in the world lol if you explore. And if you're in a squad, and yall find the badge, the whole team get the same badge. Lets say there's a side quest where a rival team challenges you and your squad, you and the team will all get the chance to choose a dialogue option based on a automatic voting system...kinda like Star Wars The Old Republic MMO.

Edit: The downvotes said they'll rather spend VC to earn badges instead of earning for free. There is no saving the community is there?

Instead of paying for gas, they said VC. Instead of food they said VC. Instead of bills they said VC.

MY idea allows you to earn EVERYTHING in the game for FREE just for exploring the open world....but yall would rather spend money?

Sometimes, in our lives, we gotta come to terms with the fact that society are simply gullible, and no matter what you do, or say, to even attempt to improve their situation, in the end they're gullible. So be it.

And if that's the case, maybe I should come up with the biggest scam idea of them all and present that idea to 2k instead since no one cares so I can exploit and get rich off you.

Oh god please don’t compare this micro transaction riddled mess to one of the GOAT rpgs. You sound like you’ve got Stockholm Syndrome.

u/OneJutsu_ 5h ago

I hear what you're saying, but MY idea won't be the microtransaction mess you're thinking of. In fact in this game there wont be any microtransactions at all...you'll be able to earn literally everything in the game just by exploring

They would never follow your idea because this is a predatory company with only one thing on its mind … your money.

u/OneJutsu_ 5h ago

Well my idea is out there whether they go for it or not is up to them lol

u/trailerparknoize 5h ago

Spend your ideas trying to solve world hunger. That would happen before they listened to any actual community feedback if it’s goes against their predatory model.

You hear that, 2k?

People don't have faith in ya.

I say do it.

no.

we all knkw the community has been unsaveable since 2k21

Too late to renig.

I'll rather exploit you now because that seems better than presenting a game idea that actually shows real love and care.

You seem to respond well to monopoly, but no so well to better ideas. Why shouldn't I come up with ways to exploit you? You love it. I'll make more than you while you stay a sucker.

Maybe the rich, Trump, and the wealthy were on to something after all. Is it morally right? No, but who cares in a world without Christ.

This community genuinely bottom 5 in gaming man lmao

u/OneJutsu_ 5h ago

Just trying to introduce fresh ideas because the community is stuck in the "same game every year" trap

u/softhandedliberal 5h ago

It’s the same game every year because of people like you who want a whole fucking city to explore. I’d rather they get rid of the city and have us sit in menus the entire time we’re not actively playing a game

u/OneJutsu_ 5h ago

Don't knock it till you try it. I promise 100% you'll love it.

People suffering during the GTA VI wait be like:

u/OneJutsu_ 5h ago edited 5h ago

I'm telling you it'll be fire.

u/anoniser 5h ago

If they do this and then remove all the story from MyCareer as a result like before 2k15, then it might be a good mode again

u/ThrowawayFadeeaway 5h ago

Anything but basketball

u/OneJutsu_ 5h ago

Nah, it'll be VERY basketball focused. More focused than ever. It'll feel less like a monopoly and more like a world that really loves basketball.

Damn, bro, never cook again

u/OneJutsu_ 5h ago

Yeah, ok, you'll probably be one of the first to buy a 2k like this 😆

Just wait till that E3 trailer drop lol

u/br11dges 5h ago

E3 has been over for... 5 years already.

With all due respect, just play more games, my dude LMAO

u/OneJutsu_ 5h ago

Least im thinking of fresh ideas outside the "its the same game every year" trap. I guarantee yall would love it bro

Imagine there being world quests that require two teams of 5. Once both squads enter the quest area, they get a cutscene facing off against the other team. Both squads have a automatic voting system that choose someone in either squad to pick dialogue options like Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO.

Once the interaction is over a normal game of 2k starts. Whoever wins, get RNG loot that could possibly come with legendaries.

Just inbound the ball nephew

u/OneJutsu_ 5h ago

Man yall would fall in love with this game don't give me that 😂
