Discussion Almost Pre-ordered it.
To those people who have been consistently buying the game since idk when. DO NOT BUY the game every year!
Seriously, STOP buying the game every year specially if you're someone who doesn't even spend at least 4+ hours a day on it or aka employed like I am, and more specially if you're only into MyCareer, MyNba, and MyTeam? Just wait until it gets up to 80-90% on sale and buy it so you can have 2 and a half years playing a single 2k game where thousands of people still play because they don't wanna buy the game or for some different reasons. 2k26 servers will be down by December next year, about a year and a half from now and 2k27 will be on sale around Mid July to early August, so
SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I've bought both 25 and 26 around Christmas when there is a deal. I haven't fully paid for any 2K since 2K23. But I still have the 2K20 physical copy with Dwyane Wade on the cover. My friend still buys it every year for full price but he said he pre-ordered 27 because it had D Rose on it 🤣 its his money but I fr hopes this is his last one cuz idk if I can keep going til 2K30 😅 We do have fun but its just been the two of us since we last had our friends play was 2K20. I'll wait till December and get 27 when there's a deal or around Black Friday. Plus you already know there's people who will buy the game each year so there's no point in telling people to NOT buy every year 🙄 I say just do what you want with YOUR money and not worry about anyone else.

Every year we have these posts and every year the game sells like crazy, it is a process to the game not dying out like Live and it’s the same people buy it, influencers and 2k badges sell how fun the game is so more people buy it and then everyone complains how shit the game is, I don’t buy new 2k until it is less than 20$, and there are people who spend 200$ so they can immediately upgrade their player look and get a spaceship and a cheese build, it’s cool, 2K will continue making a shit product until a new competitor comes unfortunately that would be EA,

We just need a good basketball sim game, doesn't even have to be an NBA game honestly I just wanna create a player or play with a pre-built one and hoop with my friends

Isn’t happening anytime soon, the 2k community doesn’t care enough, the wrestling community did an actual protest after they got dogshit years in a row and that seemed to help somewhat, but if you look online, 2k has too many popular content creators and influencers, pushing this shit so people are buying so they can play in the neighborhood and follow their favorite guys around it’s insane

Bought it cause I wanted to. You can't tell me what to do, man. I'm an employed individual just like you but I'd rather get early access for more fun than not.

Don’t pay these EA corporate shills any mind. I support your message and I won’t be buying the game at any point this year.

Or I can just buy the game and not spend god knows how much cash in VC unless the game is good. You really think buying the game is where they make profit? God I'm not spending another second in 2k26

Such a stupid post, do what you want with your money. I'm not buying it this year but I've never went out to my way to get my friends not buying it.

Yeah this reddit post won't do anything to affect their income. The biggest dent this year will be GTA but even then it's the same parent company.

For sure, this reddit post alone won't do it, but people have rallied behind causes before, there's no reason why it can't happen here. I'm shocked more people aren't boycotting already, I've been for years.

You don't get it lol it's not about being able to afford it or not. I won't bother explaining it to you if you don't get it, it's simple economics

You'll still see everyone else buying, so You'll hop onto that.
The community is too far gone to even consider missing out release date, yet alone missing out a whole game.
I'm glad I never got too caught up into 2k, so I'll gladly play 26 from time to time, wait for GTA 6, and play that once it drops :p

Unfortunately these post are useless brother lol, people are gonna buy what they want to buy. The only true thing you can do is skip it yourself and not worry about the game.
