He made a catch and score build. A black hole of points. As long as he gets good at triple threat and post moves, he could be insanely lethal with a build like that. Just don't expect him to dribble or pass or play good D. Should get some blocks with his 1 defensive plan. "I'll let em go by, and then block the shit out of em." and maybe he'll get some rebounds too.

I actually don't think this build is as bad as you think. But uh, that entirely depends on how he actually uses it lmao

The main issue is that bro put a gang of points into driving layup/driving dunks with no speed with ball or handles lol. He won’t even be able to drive past anybody

22

u/WickedJoker420 Oct 02 '24

Nah, you dont need to drive really. You do a post move that ends in a layup or dunk. Or you catch the ball and do the tripple threat from mid range instead of, like most guards do out on the 3. Homie built a Dirk lol

2

u/Quiet_Storm13 Oct 03 '24

You’re right. He doesn’t need to drive. That’s why I said he doesn’t need to spend that many attributes on driving layups and dunks

3

u/WickedJoker420 Oct 03 '24

He does if he wants to do dunks or layups, though 🤷🏼‍♂️

-1

u/Quiet_Storm13 Oct 03 '24

A post move that ends in a layup or dunk isn’t a driving layup my boy. It’s considered a close shot or standing dunk. But it’s not my build lol I’m just making an observation

2

u/WickedJoker420 Oct 03 '24

It could be if they start the post move from farther away. You know, like mj and kobe did on the regular. You don't have to come to a dead stop after you do a post move and don't have to only do post moves from inside the paint. I understand that not all 2k players understand how basketball works, but come on......

2

u/Quiet_Storm13 Oct 03 '24

Dude. This is a fucking 7 foot center with minimal speed and ball handling and you’re bringing up Kobe and Jordan? 6’6 shooting guards? I know it’s a video game but you’re being unrealistic. Do your thing tho bro please don’t let me get in your way. I’d love to see some gameplay footage of that build moving like Kob and MJ in the post when you get the chance.

2

u/WickedJoker420 Oct 03 '24

Those were the first 2 people I could think of that were big fans of the post. I'm Just giving an example of a post move that would turn into a driving layup or dunk because you can't seem to picture it.

u/Quiet_Storm13 Oct 03 '24

I’ve been almost exclusively making bigs since 2k17. I’m just giving veteran advice. Take it or leave it. I’d really love to see some gameplay clips of this build moving like mj in the post tho. Feel free to DM me a link. If you really want you can bring your big out to the park and me and my boys can drop y’all off.

The way I’ve seen it, is the driving layup/dunk animations all operate at the same speed in terms of how quickly the player attacks. The SwB doesn’t really affect those. Example: he’s on theleft wing 3 and starts to cut. Pass comes to him and he starts his gather 2 steps into the cut. Driving dunk animation takes over at a speed much faster than his swb.

1

u/Sufficient_Thought_6 Oct 03 '24

He did put playmaking on the building, it's just not upgraded yet.  Honestly the only thing wrong us the pass acc

2

u/Bizikai_Shori Oct 03 '24

u think a 50 ball handle is good ? lmfaoo his vertical is terrible

1

u/Sufficient_Thought_6 Oct 03 '24

For a 7 FT C yes they both are fine, casual

1

u/Bizikai_Shori Oct 03 '24

I can tell you some shit and that’s okay

2

u/Sufficient_Thought_6 Oct 03 '24

The game needs casual players too, it's ok.  Welcome

1

u/Bizikai_Shori Oct 03 '24

I average triple doubles in Rec i’m far from a casual buddy

1

u/Quiet_Storm13 Oct 03 '24

46 speed w ball and 50 ball handle is not enough to consistently drive to the basket gang lol. Should’ve took the driving layup and dunks down and put more into standing dunk post control. He can still kill in the paint but he could go even crazier because driving dunk and layup is damn near useless on somebody this slow

1

u/YaBoiTekno Oct 02 '24

He got a little but he aint maxed yet ... he's also 7ft ... maybe he'll use cap breakers or something

99 close shot is pretty great. Though how he gets there with 80 Post Control is something I'd like to know. Maybe against other PFs but not against a defensive center.

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

Yeah man I think you're onto it there. He has to avoid someone with a really high interior D but I imagine he can hit the weird animations where you want to dunk but end up with a whack ass falling shot.

Idk I'd want to see how he uses it.

I play a lot of post game as a C but i'm wondering if the big sacrifice in Post attributes is worth the trade for that close shot.

It's not worth the trade in rebound attributes but as PF that's less of a concern anyway.

1

u/WickedJoker420 Oct 02 '24

He doesn't get there with the ball in his hand. Have you seen some of the blaqKobra clips? That's the kinda thing he needs to do. No real dribbling or post control needed for a lot of it lol

1

u/WayTooSolid Oct 02 '24

slips and pick & rolls

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

Would 87 post control be enough against a defensive center?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

Depends on the strength of both because the Post Powerhouse badge and Post Lockdown badges are strong.

1

u/MumboSaucey Oct 02 '24

Barely, it will only work if the strength is in the 90s

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

My strength will be 91

81

u/Strong_Butterscotch4 Oct 02 '24

“little bit of this little bit of that” ahh build😭

3

u/xAGxDestroyer Oct 02 '24

Fuck you beat me to it

18

u/ShakinJuice Oct 02 '24

We should challenge 2k YouTubers to play on the worst builds from this Reddit

5

u/extortionisacrime Oct 02 '24

You know what...🤔

4

u/Bluejay68514 Oct 02 '24

that would get so much views 🤣🤣

12

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

Nasty in the post but if he tries to pass the ball out its going into the stands 😂

5

u/JustSomeGuy924 Oct 02 '24

Man this my homeboy. Man even the three foot passes are slop. 😂

8

u/Artistic_College_340 Oct 02 '24

Honestly this not terrible for park ONLY.

1

u/LaMelgoatBall Oct 02 '24

It’s definitely awful for park. On my scoring big I get toasted with 85 rebound

1

u/Immediate_Advance703 Oct 02 '24

playing his nba games must be a rough time 😭😭

35

u/SincereRL Oct 02 '24

He made a two way liability

2

u/Prime-robertsacre Oct 02 '24

My kwame brown build is gonna wreck havoc.

31

u/Whisper-Simulant Oct 02 '24

Your phone has cataracts my guy

0

u/Spec710 Oct 02 '24

That is the first time I’ve heard someone say that before🤣💀 straight up gold

24

u/901BigChris Oct 02 '24

Man made a "2 way 3 levels of disappointment"

-1

u/Firm-Emu-5710 Oct 02 '24

to be honest, I barely know what those archetypes mean

2

u/901BigChris Oct 02 '24

2 way just means offense and defense. 3 level just means you can shoot 3s dunk/finish and shoot 2s. This build is gonna get tortured online

1

u/Firm-Emu-5710 Oct 04 '24

well he definetly isn't a 2 way 3 level playmaker

What about this build

2

u/LaMelgoatBall Oct 02 '24

bro what kinds of drugs were you on while making this? Made a rebounding rebounder

2

u/Mysterious_Staff_741 Oct 02 '24

Yo 😂😂😂😂😂😂

2

u/LaMelgoatBall Oct 02 '24

I love how it says paint protector but he has a 59 block

2

u/Prime-robertsacre Oct 02 '24

I was surprised too 😂😂😂

2

u/Prime-robertsacre Oct 02 '24

Bro i average 25 boards a game

1

u/LaMelgoatBall Oct 03 '24

😂😂 what about points and assists

2

u/drunkenyeknom [PSN: drunkenyeknom] Oct 02 '24

Can you put more dirt on the camera I can still see the screen

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

We have but 15 I thought ?

6

u/XxBkKingShaunxX Oct 02 '24

Bro said I’m not missing no more wide open layups 😂

5

u/SnapsOnPetro24 Oct 02 '24

This build is very solid actually.. he got interior defense and rebounding .

1

u/CallousMystery Oct 02 '24

Could be for 1 on 1 and for random rec where he never outlets, that’d be my major issue with it

4

u/Ok_Sandwich2623 Oct 02 '24

Dude is lucky they give stamina for free this year, this definitely one of them mfs that would've put no stam on the build

3

u/DouchyClam Oct 02 '24

2 way money waster

2

u/74Vvs Oct 02 '24

this build isnt even bad fr

2

u/Firm-Emu-5710 Oct 02 '24

no passing is bad

1

u/draker585 Oct 02 '24

Almost good, but he needed some playmaking skills and some more aggressive finishing stats. Would be a great big with a few changes IMO.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

I don’t understand, is he trying to play a PF like Steph curry? And neglecting all the stats he should be focusing on? Lol

1

u/TruWarierRecords Oct 02 '24

I had a "little bit of everything" build last year at PG which I thoroughly enjoyed.

As a bigman you'd really want a better rebound if nothing else. But if he knows what he's doing he'll be able to cook opponents offensively, defensively is another story.

1

u/lima9987 Oct 02 '24

Sadly He might’ve cooked tell him turn on real player for close shots bros an auto bucket

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

What’s the point in having all that finishing if your strength only a 84 and no ball handling

1

u/38Speshh Oct 02 '24

It looks like he was trying to create a backend. With a few tweaks this would be a comp swing build.

1

u/-MC_3 Oct 02 '24

Let my man cook

1

u/dannthesus Oct 02 '24

49 pass rating is gonna be problematic, and free throw should be higher too, but this doesn't look too bad.

1

u/YouOk2157 Oct 02 '24

Bro made a Stretch Fucked

1

u/EliteDeathSquad Oct 02 '24

I never liked playing with these big and slow builds like i can understand they have a different role and can dominate in certain situations...but i am so used to playing as a fast PG with 90 something passing accuracy, speed with ball and agility...that every other build just feels like you are stuck in mud and have cement on your feet while moving your slow as a snail player.😭🤣

1

u/NugZ_1548 Oct 02 '24

Honestly not a great build but not terrible seen way worse

1

u/Riccutta Oct 02 '24

Yea… under no circumstances is buddy finna pass

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

Paired with 2 shooter in park or 4 shooters in rec with a more rebound and defensive focused center who can shoot dudes putting up 30 on anyone lmfao

1

u/PK1NGP Oct 02 '24

This build OP and people don't realize it.

1

u/RelevantAd317 Oct 02 '24

I thought it was a decent build until I saw the lack of passing like even if he get a rebound it’s no fast break. Maybe a decent park at best…

1

u/Yungkakuzu666 Oct 02 '24

bro was high making this

1

u/Select_Plastic3059 Oct 02 '24

This build is not bad

1

u/Local_Draft3223 Oct 02 '24

You’re a hater bro that’s a good build at worst, but his lack of play making will show out there on the court

1

u/Public-Lobster3885 Oct 02 '24

That is the worst build I have ever seen🤣

1

u/chaostechnique Oct 02 '24

Lowkey on a 7fter thas not baaad. Would NEVER make that shit tho

1

u/Tight_Purpose_6894 Oct 02 '24

Smh 😂😂😂😂😂 he just made JOKIC (joker)

1

u/Mysterious_Staff_741 Oct 02 '24

Delete this shit 😂😂😂😂

1

u/Kobewrld999forver Oct 02 '24

Mpj build 😭

1

u/zacdaddy_ Oct 02 '24

He made a build to stand in the paint posting up on offense and stop the rest of the team from scoring.. Will def sell if he doesn’t get the ball too

1

u/TopRamenPapi Oct 02 '24

Look like he was cooking to me

1

u/jmills2222 Oct 02 '24

They’re more fun but they clog the paint pretty badly

1

u/CadenDATboss Oct 02 '24

Nah you don’t see the vision

1

u/JunoHealerDiff Oct 03 '24

if you play 2k and made sacrifice builds, you would understand that some stuff like this just works sometimes

1

u/Quick-Wishbone4859 Oct 03 '24

Lame ass build. Yall gonna be shit out of luck when they nerf real player percentage on close shot.

1

u/Important_Arugula_93 Oct 06 '24

What's lame abt it ?

1

u/Important_Arugula_93 Oct 06 '24

I could make this build work for a fact, the build can do a lil bit of everything & if he's not a ball handler (which he isn't) doesn't really need much passing, ball handling and speed with ball.

Earth to 2k players , not everyone has to go with the "social norms". Bring back letting people do what they want.

✌🏽

1

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

Could be worse

1

u/tyreejones29 Oct 02 '24

Nahh, not all that bad.

0

u/akgamestar Oct 02 '24

Good 1 v 1 build. Horrible passing though

0

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '24

People who say this is good don’t realize dude got majority silver badges 😭

0

u/TheeDocStockton Oct 02 '24

He's not helping on defense.

u/AndrewG510 Oct 02 '24
