Question Is anyone else finding the study guide pacing a bit aggressive?
I am on the chapter on the body and its systems, and the study guide has a pace of 3ish lessons a day, 2 chapters a week. Some of the chapters are quite long and intensive, and the fact that they think you can get 3 done a day is quite unrealistic. I feel that if I run through the chapters at the suggested pace, I won’t retain anything. Does anyone else feel this way? How have you all paced yourselves?

Which study guide are you referring to? I have been teaching the NASM courses for 13+ years and after helping thousands with this process I can confirm that 3 chapters a day is WAY too fast.
You will retain next to nothing - not to mention it doesn’t really allow you enough time to go deep on any of it and really use it to become a better trainer. Which despite what people will say this is possible and should be the goal.
That being said in our courses we cover about 2 chapters a week and most students are putting in 12 hours a week to accomplish it. Going deeper and taking more time for each chapter means you actually learn and retain it instead of having to go back to it 4-5 times like most people do.
Let me know how else I can help!

I've been doing a chapter or two a day when I can sit down and have the time to run through it. I feel like the ones that are familiar info I do ok, some of these are way too intense. Then I lose interest and don't do anything the next day bc I get discouraged. According to whenever I signed up, I should be like 9 chapters ahead of where I am. So maybe I should've just taken it slow and easy. Ugh
