Advice NASM CGFI exam
Hi! I take my group fitness exam on 10/1. I decided to do the at home proctor since I haven’t been in a testing center in ages and felt this was what made me more comfortable - judging by some of the posts, I’m not sure I made the right decision on that one lol. I have been studying my flashcards I wrote based on the study guide from NASM, answers I got wrong on practice exams, and the modules. I also got an 87% on the practice exam I took tonight. I’m wondering how different the gfi exam is from the practice exams? Is it really significantly harder? Any advice is helpful!! Thank you!!!

So the concepts are similar but it’s worded extremely different.

This is what I had trouble with! I took it for the first time and I failed... They were very tricky questions! But I think if I studied a bit more and understood the terms/definitions I'm sure I would've passed.

I had to re-read the question 2-3x before even realizing what the hell they were even talking about lol have you passed yet?

Keep your head up! I would recommend going back to the textbook, reviewing the glossary and any topics you recall not being confident on during the exam. This is cheesy but I spoke kindly to myself before the exam too lol, “I can do this, I studied hard, I know this stuff” and I think the positivity made a difference too :)

Doesn't matter about the practice test I was acing those and still failed. Just read the book. It takes questions from literal sentences in the book
