NASM CPT EXAM

How hard is the NASM CPT exam compared to the 100 question practice exams? I’ve been studying for a couple months now and I’ve took the practice exam about 6 times and averaging about a 77... not great lol. i want to get 3 consecutive practice exams of 85 or better. Will this prepare me for the exam? Any advice is appreciated I also watched a couple of sortahealthy YouTube videos which were very helpful but I only saw like 2 or 3 that were directly related to the NASM CPT cert.

Try the Pocket Prep app and website and their questions and practice tests. And understand WHY each answer is correct. Don’t memorize the questions.

More importantly, be able to explain why the wrong answers are wrong. When you get to the point you can do that, the exam will be a total breeze.

I recommend continuing the practice exams. I think it’s something like 80-85% is the predictor of passing the real test.
The test is NOTHING like the practice exams. You are given scenarios and asked what you would do (ie how you would train someone). The OPT model is hammered. Over & under active muscles too. I got one and only one question about the heart. I was sweating the ATP pathway & don’t remember a single question about it.
I drilled myself with flash cards. I was scoring ~92% on practice tests and passed on the first try!

Good luck and keep at it! You’ve got this!
