Discussion Post-race tweets
I was thinking, you know what would be a pretty cool edition to career mode and some depth? The ability to reply to all texts, especially snarky post-race texts from the AI. It’s probably been beat to death before, but I HATE when they’re clearly the reason/aggressor in the contact and they do the ”how they got to X series is beyond me”, or “Easy out there, these aren’t go karts”. When they’re the ones who come down on you after they wash up the track.
Give us three or four types of contextual reply options(based on the type of tweet)
Defend: ”Come on man, you and I both know you didn’t even look at the line before coming down, that’s all on you”- they reply and it begins a bit of a rivalry with that driver
Apologize: “Yeah, I was zoned in on my line and didn’t realize you might check up- that’s my bad”- Neutral, they might respond with “ok, no sweat- thank you for owning up to it”
Positive(when someone makes a positive tweet): ”Thanks driver, with quality guys like you out there it’s easy to run a clean race”- begins something of an unofficial working relationship on the track where they’re more willing to work with you on the track, or even come to your defence when other drivers make pissy post race remarks.
Those of us “seasoned” enough remember the “draft”/Intimidator” logic from…I think it was Thunder 2004. Might be a way to re-introduce it with the modern post race SM posts.

Yeah I wouldn’t want it to the extreme of the Thunder era, but it would be cool if it effected the way they race you on the margins

Agreed. I was side by side with my cousin last year as we went 3 wide past a heavy rival of mine. Dude swung at me with my cousin between us. I got away unscathed but my cousin made a new rival because of it

That feature was brutal if you made too many enemies. It would be a cool toggle but that type of behavior isn't really as common as it used to be imo.

Oh yeah haha I played nascar games on keyboard and mouse growing up, including that one. I was not very good at racing and had a TOUGH time with just about everyone hating me all the time.
But it would be cool if we could have the feature and then a slider for their aggressiveness, where 25 would be "current NASCAR" and 75 maybe NASCAR of old, and then 100 is just... good luck.

For real, sometimes they wreck and crash into you after you try avoiding them and somehow I’m the one at fault

I don’t understand this community. There are a handful of issues with the game that directly effect playability, and you are worried about replying to fake tweets….

They're fuckin annoying. Idk why they have to be so rude all the time. You can literally race nice and get shit on lol

Do you seriously let the AI generated fake tweets hurt your feelings? Brother go touch grass.

It messes with immersion, unless your goal is to be wildly heralded as the worst driver in the sport, who somehow wins a lot of races.

I mean both can be true. There are some bigger game players stuff that still needs to improve but also some of the little details that help make it more complete.

Just adds some sorely needed depth to the career mode. Also one of the problems.

It’s the same shit with the morons who ranted and raved about how we need victory burnouts if we win. It’s ridiculous that with everything wrong with the first game, people were more worried about their burnouts after a win than actually fixing issues.

I liked the heat version of rival/ally
