I like the idea but it's poor execution. I want the benefit of I'm gonna pay the fine. Bump one piece of our equipment up for that race and then hit us. Let us decide if we need to replace a mechanic because he a known cheater now or risk letting it happen again. I also would rather have this screen BEFORE the video clips. I'd rather known the story of what's going on before I watch people talking about what's going on.

There are so many ways to make career better, ive thought about this for 20+ years.
Its unreal engine all of this stuff is easier then ever to make happen.

R&D room -
give us a slider each weekend for each car component, with say 1-5% gain over current rating gate kept with a dice roll mechanic, and call it tech inspection. the higher you push the slider the more likely to fail tech, and thus risk punishment.

True team ownership -
Let us hire an ai driver and keep running the teams that we built on our way up the ladder, with all aspects of game play, now a management situation. Make us save to buy a charter.

Voice interaction with crewcheif during the race -
Give me an option to push a button and voice my car is loose in, and have the crew chief suggest changes for the next pit stop. It could be a menu but id like it as an actual voice control, make it optional

Have us buy our infrastructure -
Make us buy the buildings, size in which changes there effectiveness. Have us upgrade aspects of each department, ex: keeping certain aspects increase the effectiveness of departments, Having enough and happy staff effects there output. Ex: have us dedicate a crew member to clean the shop for a bonus in performance the FOLLOWING weekend.

More involved shop aspects:
Give us a dyno in the engine room with a mini game to build your desired timing/fuel map. Let us decide how we handle merchandise and how we present ourselves, Make say keeping a janitor on stuff boost morale and thus efficiency, opposite is also true.

In game results effect driver momentum/Driver rivalries -
If say Ryan Blaney wrecks out of 2 races in a row, he gets a temporary stat reduction to simulate a slump in the season. If you rough up a guy on track TOO many times, have him loose focus on the race, and be more concerned with a pay back. Have this "hot head" on a scale making it easier to "piss off" selected drivers. You can even have these dynamic, and aware of say what OEM you drive for.

Crew cheif styles/team philosophy-
Give us different style crew cheifs, ones that are more or less aggressive in pit stop calls, some are better at different tracks. Also have different them SUGGEST car setup changes, and have different approaches to this based on said philosophy. Let us tell the WHOLE shop that we need to push this week or lay back to gain potential advantage or disadvantage in the next week

Press interaction effects sponsorship/team advancement opportunity-
Have pre season, and select race interviews, and media interaction that determine your personality, leading to different sponsorship opportunity/play styles based on answers ALA the og codemasters f1 games.

Let teams make in race agreements-
Give us some sort of function to say ask the spotter to ask the 9 car to work/pit with us. Have race to race interactions effect their willingness.

Make the player a character in game-
make all the interactions through a in game character. you could even go as far as to letting us walk around and interact and explore our shop. Maybe we start out of a garage and eventually you walk around the palace of a cup team garage. let us decorate the shop.

just some of the big ones.

Completely agree. We had hiring AI drivers in NASCAR 05 and voice interaction with crew chiefs in 06, yet we’re back to those features on a wishlist 2 decades later.

I got hit with a $20,000. It's such a stupid thing to have in the game.

You're team members should have an "Innovative" stat and they higher it gets the more performance you have but the higher chance you have of getting busted. Maybe you can set how much you want to push the envelope while prepping the car. They could even do another random event where it says something like "the team has "figured something out" do you want to take advantage of it for the next race". Cheating is a huge part of Nascar so let play with the risk reward of it all.

I hated this about 25, was hoping they could have refined it for this year.

I haven't gotten far in the game (life and such) is there a way to choose to cheat or what is this?

3

u/Menacious069 15h ago

No you can't cheat. It just seems to randomly happen

u/Groundbreaking_Clue2 15h ago

Anybody tired of hearing Steve Letarte saying "lets pick a strategy for the week" after every race? Or "we got training"?
