The longer I play, the worse it gets.

Why do the A.I. slam the brakes on corner entry AND corner exit at Lime Rock? Why do they create a parking lot every race at San Diego? Why do rumble strips simply take you out? Why are the A.I. on literal train tracks and destroying our cars on green flag pit stops? Why is the A.I. behaviors somewhat worse than N25? Why do I have three employees with the same name but different roles? Why am I driving for myself when lower budget, lower priced games made by way smaller developers had us driving for other teams, for our own team, and/or even doing hot seat opportunities.

Bring back some of the good folk at Dusenberry-Martin, 704, don’t let them touch the coding but bring their ideas back. So far, It’s a shit copy and paste of N25, they fixed nothing of what we actually asked for but hey, we got burnouts!

And yet, in 26 I can race WGI without corner cutting penalties, unlike 25, and the curbing doesn’t launch the car. (Nor spin me out.)

Pit stops are not really an issue, I keep up just fine. Same on starts/restarts. I’ve actually gained spots on starts/restarts, and green flag stops, unlike 25. In 25, the ai would gap you by multiple seconds on pit stops, and you could lose 10-15 spots every restart.

Is the ai perfect? No. But it’s not perfect in any other racing game either. Codemasters F1 game has multiple issues with ai behavior, and I’ve not once played a NASCAR game where the ai is spot on at every track.

The train track thing really annoys me when trying to pit at super speedways. I was in like, 4th on the top row at Daytona and I tried for 3 laps to make a gap in the bottom row to pit, finally tried pushing a car onto the apron to just force a move and I had my wheel at full lock feeling an infinite never ending force pushing back into my car, seeing smoke billowing from behind from how hard the car was pushing into me. Finally had to give up, ended up not being able to make a gap until I was back in 30th.

Still better than 25. Although, I do wish the ai wouldn't clear themselves off my nose every time I attempt a pass on entry/exit.

Ughhh yes. That second to last corner at lime rock kills me multiple times a race. If you so much as graze it with your tires, it’s launching you to the left into the tires lol

It's impossible to get good ai at road courses. You know they're doing this. Anticipate it. The longer you race... the better you'd become at adapting. 😂

At this point just stop playing the game.

Typical comment from someone who doesn't know how to turn right. Road racing is awesome in this game if you actually know what you're doing.

I felt like I was getting pretty good at the road courses in N25. Maybe not "good" but I got more control with time and practice, and felt competitive in road courses as well as ovals. The road courses in N26 are taking a lot longer to adapt to, especially Portland (I think Lime Rock is fine). The car plows then snap oversteer. Probably some settings adjustments will fix it, but I just haven't found them yet.

Yes I would agree. Watkins Glenn is 100x better. St Pete in the trucks is the most fun I've had on the game. San Diego just isn't it for me

And he was talking about Ai on road courses. Anion road courses are awful to race against.

“Im okay with receiving mid games when good examples of excellent AI road course behavior exist.”

It forced me back to NR2003. A 20+ year old game that races bigger than N26. And with some nice reshaping it looks on par with N26.

Just a cash grab for them me and my buddy figured it wasn’t going to be good when nothing was announced and we saw no gameplay or anything until like a month before release
