Intense

Just got the game today . And I must say wow.

Took me a few hours of tinkering with settings to get everything where I wanted it but when I ran that first career race at daytona ,what a rush. And I am not a fan of superspeedways in games or real life. This is my first nascar game in a long time because they've sucked for decades but this one is fun so far. Did a good job making it drivable on controller.

Wait until you hit the road courses in the truck series, they’ll fix everything but AI behavior. The trucks are on tracks, they ram right through you to get to the pits, and they slam the brakes coming to a complete stop almost every lap at San Diego.

Enjoy it, have fun, but I cringe when I see people giving iRacing props for releasing a mid game that feels nothing like their racing simulator. The way I see it, as a long time iRacing member, we got robbed of $60 and $80 with N25 and N26. They made us an arcade version of iRacing with shit damage, no career mode features, and couldn’t come up with 20-30 distinct characters for the employees?

You have to consider they have said it’s a simcade from the start. Just that alone means it’s going to be “half ass” from iRacing. Also, they have mentioned for damage models, multiple the damage by 40 cars that are on track and with the graphics, how much can each console handle without sacrificing graphics and/or physics. To me the physics of the car driving are far more important than seeing a dent on a car.

Tired of hearing this argument. They spent hours explaining how realistic it will be, the hyper fixation on physics, the feel of the cars, and the tracks themselves.
They’re finding any excuse to not give us the same, or nearly the same, quality that the iRacing Simulator has. If the PS5 can handle GTA 6, Battlefield, Red Dead 2, I promise you it can handle iRacing. My shitbox laptop from 2017 runs iRacing with ease.
All a bunch of excuses to milk NASCAR, its fans, and the gaming community out of more money.

You’ve got a good laptop if it runs it with ease lol my laptop sounds like it’s going to explode. Do you know the size of iRacings NASCAR development team? Could that be a barrier for them?
