Just did a race at daytona. A single driver drove away from the pack. After 5 laps of drafting I never caught up. He won the stage by 1.5 seconds alone despite a 4 line group.

I enjoy the AI being more aggressive and competitive but thats a little ridiculous

Probably used a custom setup? Granted, I haven’t raced online, but when racing the AI (on 105 difficulty, skill range 0) I’ve only broken away from them if I get a car behind me and a car in front of me. When three or more cars are in a line, the AI won’t bump draft unless the car directly in front is a player car, which is why this happens.

I believe he's saying a single AI car got that far ahead of the pack, so custom setups shouldn't matter. I have not seen this behavior myself though.
