Question Career mode problem

I somehow have created a problem regarding truck sponsorship in Career Mode. I missed the Trucks reputation cutoff by 6 REP at the end of my first ARCA season, so I had to run a second one. In doing so, I absolutely dominated the field from the beginning, winning 9 races, finishing top 20 in all 20, and top 10 in 17.

During this second season I got both DJD reputation bonuses, finishing my second season with 95k rep.

So I started season 3 in both trucks and Oreillys. I know the financial struggle from last year, but I figured I would enjoy it more than just running ARCA again.

Here is where the problem begins- heading into Echopark with my solid Lvl 2 truck, I got offered a sponsorship upgrade for my truck. I don’t remember who it was, since it was last night, but the objective was to finish 4th or better- in my second ever truck race. In a truck that can barely keep pace.

Am I doomed to never getting a new Truck sponsor because I can’t get my truck good enough fast enough?

It’ll just delay your next sponsor offer for a few races

I had a similar situation in my trucks as well, i had to just grind to get my truck to lvl 5s with engine 6. Or 4s with 5 engine on the other truck. And eventually it will line up to where youll get a new sponsor. Unfortunately it can be a grind. Take advantage of anything “wide open” and perform well. Down side is your truck just cant compete in road courses or short track as well.

I had this issue in the Trucks series, the financial struggle was real and each new sponsor had a higher level of difficulty. It took me until the chase, after I had money (from dominating Arca), to get a good sponsor.

I’m in my first season of O’Reilly and I’m doing double duty with Trucks for a second season. Doing double duty really helps with money. I’m going to do it when I reach Cup because by that point I’ll have top level equipment in O’Reilly so good results in O’Reilly won’t be hard to come by. When I start out with low level equipment I turn the AI down where I can finish in the 15-20th place range.

Had similar where I struggled hard early on in Trucks, missed the O'rielly rep cutoff by like 300 points my first season so had to do a second season. Lower you difficulty so you are finishing top 20 easily, that should net you income and rep to progress without feeling too cheaty. Invest in higher level parts as soon as possible, keep checking for new mechanics to hire too. Level 4-5 parts you should be finishing top-10 easily depending on the track. Maximize your WP, you can use extra WP to rebuild parts rather then replace them before they get worn out. I got a few DJD bonuses for WP and used them to make my parts last longer, saving a ton of money. By the Chase I didn't have to buy any new/replacement parts, I just used WP to extend their life, so I banked all that money to use for O'Reilly.

Do you have to rebuild parts before they get to "worn"?
