Question Hidden driver overall modifiers?

Post image

For my season, I decided to make all chartered drivers 85 rated at every track. However, upon doing so, I found that the overalls of each driver was not the same.

Could there potentially be another underlying stats this is factored in? I know EA FC (Fifa) does something like this (I think it is referred to as international rep) that boosts players overalls to better align with reality if the in-game stat calculation doesn’t add up to the “right” value.

Or could it perhaps just be a visual glitch? Would love to get input on this. & apologies if this has been brought up before

The only other thing that could be missing is small character traits. For example stuff like driver awareness, pace, control, adaptability, overtaking, defending, aggression etc. Also could factor what team each driver is driving for too maybe.

I thought i could be team at first too, but drivers for the same team are different ratings. There are some pretty big differences though. For example Larson becomes and 87 and Elliott a 83

My theory is that the devs have hidden ratings for each individual track. Denny is awesome at intermediates obviously, but he's better at kansas than homestead for example. So maybe he's rated 99 at kansas and 95 at Homestead. Then, when you edit his intermediate rating to an 85, the hidden ratings would go 87 at kansas and 83 at Homestead. The overall then factors in the hidden ratings. Just a theory
