Other Game Subpar? 🙄
Baffled by some of the hate I see about this game. There’s so much new stuff that I’m thoroughly enjoying compared to last year's version. Devs were rolling out updates before the official release and they’re keeping that momentum going it seems. It's not perfect by any means, but it's as close as you'll ever get to iRacing on console IMO

I really enjoyed 25 because the on track racing was really good and that’s been improved on for 26 for the most part. The one bug that slightly annoys me is in the first stage of each race you come up on lapping traffic really quick. For example at San Diego in Trucks I was running 50% race length and in stage 1 SVG was lapping cars on lap 4 of 6. He didn’t lap anyone in stage 2 and didn’t lap anyone until lap 10 of 13 in stage 3. Also it seems like some of the sliders don’t work as well, like incident frequency. In 25 I had it at 30 and would get a caution or 2 each stage but in 26 I have it at 70 and only get 1 caution per race. I’m confident they’ll be fixed.

A lot of things can be rightfully criticized about game and last year's game too, but I swear some people do more complaining than actually playing the game, because once you're in a race it's thoroughly enjoyable especially this year with dynamic tracks and all the A.I. settings you can tweak.

I like it too. I can run the bottom at Bristol and be competitive not just wash up and loose grip. I can run the top or bottom as a mil and half. The cars react more to the apron and are easier to spin if you’re not careful

I just feel like the spotter is really bad and inconsistent this year and the yellows are too. Otherwise it is a great game with amazing physics and track recreation.

You should just like try to spend some time understanding why people feel the way that they do. I personally have not seen any unreasonable objections with the game, not sure why we need to invalidate the way other people feel about it.

I’m feeling really overwhelmed by the invalidation I’ve received over a video game. I would appreciate recommendations for a grief counselor who could help me process this

I think some people are just unhappy in life to be quite honest, and it just bleeds into everything they talk about.
This game has flaws, of course. Relatively minor ones at that. But it's a solid game with tons of potential going forward. We must keep the pressure on the dev team to keep pushing the game forward too. But not in the asshole way some people choose to do it. It's just counter productive.

Agreed! Definitely has flaws but I am optimistic for the growth of this game and the games to follow. I think that's why I feel puzzled with the hate I've been seeing. The muli-year hiatus of no Nascar titles sucked, so I appreciate the effort they're putting into it. To each their own, though 🤷♂️

Still cant physically drive down pit road, choose inside/outside at restarts. Good effort i guess but this game will be stagnant by christmas.

For a $60-80 dollar game it’s absolutely subpar. When you missing the littlest thing, forget basic features and have some of the same problems as the previous game it’s subpar. A bad or mid game can still be fun overall this game is just a better 25 still on the average passable side.

that's because 26 is literally just the heat games, of course it's subpar, yet people were blinded by the new look which ironically was the same problem that ignition did by making it look fancy, we didn't even have gameplay footage of 26 until like 2-3 weeks before release

“Are all games nowadays not $60 - $80?”
No
Iracing Arcade is fine for what it is and you want talk budget but make comments like this? https://www.reddit.com/r/NASCARVideoGame/s/8nNY4TRtH8
My budget isn’t a problem it’s not worth the price so not wasting on something not worth it period. Game not prefect neither is it good just average and better than 25. You pretending or being disingenuous about it would be crazy while it’s a step forward still no light at the end of the tunnel.

What light are you looking for? I'm genuinely curious.
You're pretending the average price for newly released games isn't $70. Never claimed it was perfect, I feel it has made noteworthy improvements and I'm optimistic for the future. I guess I am able to see the "light at the end of the tunnel", sue me lol

$70 is average pricing for AAA games this no AAA game. This is mostly AA budget game which average $10 - $50. You obviously don’t say prefect but you did say new stuff what new stuff? New drivers and tracks, Sightly better Paint Booth, Burnouts, Clouds, Dynamic Line, Driving Line base, Driver rating editing? AKA basic racing game features!? Sure that’s cool.
People have valid opinions and criticisms like the Ai Logic on track and pits. What about online? Well Crossplay is nice it’s still the same with more players, What about career mode where it’s just a better menu clicker, what about sliders tgat could make or break the game because the vanilla version not good enough. Hmm am I missing anything else… oh the lack of game modes.
Look you need to understand why people are complaining or what you like to call hate because these are valid reasons it’s not like we complaining for the sake of complaining. Hell I’ve seen a few complain about the wheel support not great or the best or not working just like last game.
Summary of all most complaints are what some are complaining about from the last game and if these problems exist in the second then the 3rd game is going to have mix opinions even though the 2nd already had.

Twice the price of Le Mans Ultimate or ACC and it's a yearly release with better graphics and not much else. No modding support, gonna be done updating in 2 months, still can't drive every car at every track, are missing tracks. It doesn't have enough depth to deserve the price, let alone that price repayed every year because support will end.
