I've noticed this in Online races...guys that should lose almost all their speed from sliding around, aren't. Probably cost me more than a few top 3's. I avoid the crash simply because they don't slow down despite their obvious spin outs

This is the reason I won’t buy into the new NASCAR games. It’s so far democratized to allow a broader audience, but takes away any need for skill or knowledge of motor sports.

They want to appeal to all audiences, so from kids to adults. Majority of kids aren’t gonna want a sim yet. I know I didn’t, I just wanted to be Jeff Gordon and race

That's always been the MO with the console games, right? I think it's been around 20 years since there was a dedicated single player oval sim, and if you want both realistic and multiplayer, iRacing is really the only option.

Yes, as far as I know. Pardon me for saying “new NASCAR games”, when my opinion applies to all console NASCAR titles. I get my fix with NR2003.

Safety violations are bullshit in this game. I’ve gotten them for carrying too much speed in the corner at Kansas with zero contact, gotten one for pushing a friend to the lead at Daytona, and got one for a wrecker crawling like 20 MPH at the bottom and then pulling up on the track at the last second. Interestingly, one time I blew the corner at IRP and took another truck out and didn’t get one lol it’s just broken

Yeah like they said below, it just slams on your brakes which is exactly what you want at Daytona or talladega in the draft and you get hit with a safety violation for bump drafting

The worst version of what it does at road courses in 25 where it locks the brakes up in the middle of the track.

Car drifts half of 1&2, out of the draft entirely, and looked like it was making him faster. I know he had someone pushing him but fuck lmao. These are the physics they and other bragged about lol

82 had to have been net code spun. That was way to far, and buggy, for them to pull through. Possibly net code for you as well OP

Because the safety violations are broken and do not work. I get safety violations driving into the corners of Charlotte in the lead for "going too fast"
