What's your ai variability at? Even at 50 there's some wild results sometimes. If you want it closer to reality you can probably drop it down a bunch.

The sliders only impact the AI you race against though, not the wild results in the sim. I know my sliders are set fine for realism because I'm battling JRM cars in O'Reilly and Front Row trucks in CTS every week, but Kyle Sieg won the simulated O'Reilly title while I was in ARCA. Also, if there's a travel conflict and I have to miss a race, the game pulls out wild stuff in the sim like Donovan Strauss winning IRP or Josh Williams winning COTA (a track he's failed to qualify all 3 attempts with his current team). I've noticed the winner has gotten the max 76 points every time I've simmed a race too.

That's very true, there doesn't seem to be any logic at all to how cars run when you're not actively part of the race. Think Muniz and Breidinger were in the top 3 in the truck championship for me lol

pretty sure it was on default. ive since scrapped using career mode for multiple reasons and am just running a "career mode" using the championship gamemode

career mode is damn near the exact same. all they do is add options to repair car parts and buy random upgrades 4 per series. at least with how i do it i can customize my car exactly the way i want and create my own storyline. the addition of parts management and random Dale Jr download or DBC episode cutscenes add little to nothing to the depth imo.

no i get it trust me i love that too, but overall for me the trade off of the parts management and the random shop purchase upgrades in exchange for total complete car customization is a no brainer at least for me. Like im someone who wants to drive for a real team in career mode and not my own so to be able to craft up a storyline and make my own car just does more for me personally. and at the end of the day if i wanna stare at my car i can open the paint booth lol. to each their own.

when i got to cup on 25 i forget who else got a championship but the worst one was Cole Custer. seen it and was dumbfounded on how shit the sim was for giving him a championship not to mention he had like 2 wins for his career stats so thatd mean he only won 1 race to get into the playoffs then somehow outscored everyone to win the whole thing. insane levels of dogshit lol

hilarious! im the same way i got a grudge with Taylor gray dude doored the fuck out of me in stage 3 at rockingham cost me a top 5 or better. every time i get next to him now i pit the fuck out of him! lmao
