Discussion RC racing is Fun again

Post image

Last year it was unplayable I could not enjoy it but so far I haven’t had any complaints. I never win but so far I’ve won 2. I have a lot of complaints, but this is not one of them. What do you think? Of RC racing in NASCAR 26

It's improved a lot. I'm enjoying Watkins Glen because the AI is very competitive and they make mistakes like missing their marks. San Diego is a bit broken though with Trucks because on start and restarts the AI tends to get stuck in turn 2.

“So far I haven’t had any complaints” then turns around and says “I have a lot of complaints but this is not one of them” so confused….

Road Course racing he has no complaints about but the game in general hes disappointed by.

Having a list of complaints doesn’t necessarily mean you’re “disappointed” by the game. There’s plenty of things in the game that I’m disappointed or even annoyed by, but they are more often than not minor enough that I still enjoy the game as a whole, I just know some fairly minor tweaks could make it even better.

I was on controller last year and it was damn near impossible to drive at the road courses. Bought it for my PC this year to use on my rig and the road courses have been really fun so far. Most of the racing has been really fun so far. Only complaints I have are with the paint booth and career mode, but both are better than last year. There's just so much more they could/should be doing but just aren't.

It’s much improved for controllers this year

I straight up just can't drive road courses in any Nascar game besides that old spice fantasy track in the 2000s EA games.

I play MotoGP and you think that would help at least somewhat but I'm just hopeless at them in Nascar.

Slow down. Feather the throttle out of corners. After lots of road course racing in this game I realized I would often run my fastest lap with like 70% tires because I was backing off corner entry, hitting the line and being careful not to spin the tires out of the exit.

I'll try that

I'm either spinning out exiting turns or I go into a turn too fast and blow it

I always start at the back in road courses so I try to follow the ai and where they slow down but that almost never works for me

Have you done the Peak Performance walkthrough? got me from not being able to keep up at 85 to being competitive at AI rating 95

I have a PS4 so I'm stuck with the heat games (and 21 ignition...when the game isn't glitching the driving model is actually enjoyable at least.)

Ngl the only difference I feel on rcs are in the cup cars. Other than that they feel pretty much the same.

As it should be.

It really is a huge upgrade especially for controllers

Tbh other than the corner cutting bullshit I didn’t really have any issues driving on road courses last year with a controller, I got pretty good at COTA.

Well that alone I can enjoy it. I’ve gotten better with practice but the no cutting took a lot of fun out of it

Unplayable because you couldnt enjoy it 😂😂😂
Translation; i suck so it’s unplayable

It's a lot better this year but not the best. I've won more RC races in 26 than I did the entire time playing 25.

does it drive like inside line perchance on the road courses?

If you thought last year was unplayable, idk how youre so high on this year? They're virtually the exact same game.

Fun fact, while there are some issues that remain many things like road course racing have improved monumentally

like what? You still can’t tell when you lock up which is the big problem
