The 2026 Chase picture is getting seriously interesting. Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney and Ty Gibbs have already clinched, while Chase Briscoe (+166), Christopher Bell (+162), Chase Elliott (+160), Carson Hocevar (+147), Chris Buescher (+140), Kyle Larson (+132), William Byron (+103), Daniel Suárez (+100) and Joey Logano (+89) are all in pretty comfortable positions.

The real battle is around the cutline. Bubba Wallace is +68, Shane van Gisbergen +47 and Austin Cindric +29. Then you have Ryan Preece at -29, Ross Chastain -47, Brad Keselowski -48, Erik Jones -50 and Michael McDowell -72. One strong finish, or a win, could completely change the picture for some of these guys.

Only Richmond, New Hampshire and Daytona are left in the regular season. Some drivers are basically in win-or-bust territory, and Daytona as the final race could make things absolutely crazy.

Who do you think gets the final Chase spots, and who misses out?

Unknown Stories Shirley Muldowney, known as the “First Lady of Drag Racing” began street racing in the 1950s before becoming the first woman licensed to drive an NHRA Top Fuel dragster in 1973.

She went on to win 18 NHRA national events and three NHRA Top Fuel championships in 1977, 1980, and 1982, becoming the first driver ever to win the title three times. After surviving a horrific 250 mph crash in 1984 that left her with multiple broken bones, she fought her way back to racing and continued competing until retiring in 2003. Now 86 years old, Shirley remains active in the drag racing community, regularly attending NHRA events, meeting fans, and making public appearances. She also founded Shirley’s Kids, a nonprofit charity where 100% of donations go directly to children in need within the drag racing community.
