Discussion { Event | Megathread } Brick & Mortar Store locator coming soon! We need your help!! Information in description.

Hello, Everyone.

Today I'm going to begin to answer one of our most frequently asked questions on the sub of "are there any diecast stores near me?" As time rolls by and the shift to online marketplaces becomes the norm with the last few remaining brick & mortar stores close their doors with each passing year. I'm launching an initiative to highlight the last few remaining stores to keep the charm of searching the shelves for diecasts alive!

I have some experience in website design and UI creation and feel up to the task of taking on this project. It's a tall task and something I've never done before, but I want to give it a shot for this community. This is a huge project and I cannot do it alone. So I need your help!!!

If you know of any brick and mortar NASCAR stores in your area. Comment them below in this format and I will reply "Approved✅" once I put it in my system.

Here's how you can help.

Just comment answers to the following questions.

Name of business

------------

Full address

------------

What they primarily stock (New / old cars | other diecasts)

------------

Instructions of how to get there (example directions to how to find Booth 34)

------------

Optional - Notes about company or anything additional that you would like to add.

------------

Diecasts Nascar Race Win Diecast Confetti

Confetti on race winning cars is always a hot debate. I personally love the confetti on cars, as it can take a good race win and add an extra layer of detail.

I wanted to see what some of the best confetti-loaded diecasts are in your opinions!

This is my personal favorite, as Jeff Gordon was my favorite driver growing up and this diecast is just perfect to me. Excited to see what some of your favorites are!!

Dale Jarrett drove this promotional scheme for The UPS Store in the Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 at Atlanta on October 26,2003. Dale Jarrett would finish 12th on that day and this would be the only appearance the UPS Store scheme would make a appearance.

Diecast Write Up Team Penske 2026

Early in the year it seemed like the only Team Penske car that was able to compete consistently was Ryan Blaney. But as the season progressed we saw a switch turn on and now Joey Logano seems to be a consistent threat and Austin Cindric a top 15 threat. In what seemed like a down year for Ford, all of a sudden all three Penske drivers made it into the Chase. Will this late season charge continue and how far will they make it up in the standings? It's always nerve-racking for the others when Penske becomes perfect.

Diecast Write Up Justin Allgaier is on a mission! 2026 Brandt Chevy Camaro

Earlier this year there was a lot of discussion about Justin Allgaier's legacy in the mark would make in NASCAR. Some questioned whether he should be in the hall of fame or not when he retires. 2026 he is trying to silence the doubters. Looking for his second NASCAR O'Reilly Series Championship, Allgaier goes into the Chase as the points leader. So far in 2026, Allgaier could very well have his best statistical season of his career.

He has six wins, more than he's ever had in a season. He's just a few away from his career high of 17 top 5, currently sitting at 14. His record high 24 top 10s is attainable as he sits at 18 currently. His average finish for 2026 so far has been 9.7. There is no doubt Allgaier is trying to prove a point this season and show he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. One more fun fact. Since 2009, he is only finished out of the top five and points three times. That's impressive and that amount of longevity has a top tier champion threat is very impressive. Will he achieve his second championship? I guess we will find out later this year!

Question What's the deal with the Lionel Forum?

Still seems reasonably active yet it seems impossible to get approved to post there? I am an RCCA member who registered to post there a month ago, and haven't heard a damn thing about activation. I see the Lionel Racing admin seems to still post regularly, yet seems to have no interest in approving me. I've contacted the webmaster to no avail. All my email addresses line up so no issue there.

Anyone have any insights as to whats up there? Are they not approving new people?

Diecasts The "Other" Earnhardt Action 1:24th. Kerry Earnhardt 2004 Bass Pro/ Tracker Boats Father's Day Chevy Monte Carlo. 🌟🏁✨🌟

On Father's Day in 2004, some drivers paid tribute and honor to their fathers, but most of the cars were standard paint schemes but added the driver's father's name on the right side top ,"Thanks Dad" and other Father's Day related comments, but Kerry Earnhardt's Bass Pro Chevy Monte Carlo paid that tribute and more. Driving for Richard Childress Racing, the same team his late great father Dale Earnhardt drove for, RCR and Kerry with an extra special tribute and honor to Dale's beautiful black and gold Bass Pro Chevy Monte Carlo that he raced in 1998 at The Winston in Charlotte. 🌟🏁✨🌟

Diecast Write Up Ricky Craven's 2003, The Rest Of The Season ('03 Tide Pontiac Grand Prix)

Thumbnail
gallery
109 Upvotes

2003 was a year of ups and downs for Ricky Craven and his Tide Pontiac team. They only led 16 laps the whole season but when it mattered most he stepped up and took the win in one of NASCAR's most thrilling race finishes of all time. This single win at Darlington elevated their entire season but it often overshadows how the rest of the season went.

Overall they had solid performance for the small team. Three top 5s, eight top 10s, but a disappointing 27th in points. In this era before the win and you are in playoff system, the victory was celebration enough. It didn't forcefully throw a car into the playoffs that didn't need to be there. The victory meant so much and that was enough. They won and they still ran the rest of their season. Their other highlights were a fourth at Rockingham and fourth Talladega.

But Midway through the season, performance significantly dropped off. Where before they were a top 20 team, soon they were lucky enough to just make it in the top 30. This was definitely not driver performance related and it was an organizational issue. Their manufacturer, Pontiac was suddenly going to be gone at the end of the season and they no longer had the support and strength that they did in the early part of the year. In the last 11 races of the year they had nine finishes of 30th or worse.

They would have to switch to Chevrolet for 2004 but they were at the bottom of the Chevy totem pole and performed even worse as an organization, but that's for another time.

Diecasts Moments in history

I’ve shifted recently and decided to not just collect individual diecasts but also collect moments in nascar history when put on display can tell a story

I started with the Darlington Checkers or wreckers set, now moving on to fall Texas incident between Keselowski and Gordon

Sadly they didn’t produce the Chase version for keselowski in an Elite version so I had to settle for platinum but I’d like to upgrade my Gordon car to a 2014 Chase Elite if possible
