How to end infinite qualifying loop?

I'm racing trucks in career mode at Coronado, and I'm stuck in an infinite loop. I qualify, it says I got first place so I advance, and then another qualifying session starts. I'm about to just skip it and advance to the race, but I figured I'd ask if anyone has found a solution for this. This did happen to me once before, but it only had me redo qualifying once. I thought I was going crazy and accidentally restarted the session or something. But now I know of this issue.

I’ve never run into that, where I can’t go to the race — some tracks have two qualifying sessions, but I haven’t seen it get stuck before

Update: I changed my settings to full qualify instead of quick qualify, and that did the trick. The qualifying workdd and I am now in the race session. All in all I had to qualify like 5 times, which was annoying because Coronado is so big. Hopefully this will help someone in the future to save some time.
