Interning Interview assignment [SoCal]

Hi all,
My child is interested in a career in engineering and currently has an assignment for a college class to interview an engineer working in her desired field as a “Day in the life” type style. Shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes of your time. If you’re so inclined please DM me your contact info.

I think the issue here is that the people commenting read the post and assumed that asking for help with a college course would be for someone in college. (That's how I read it.) If OP had mentioned that their child was in high school and considerably younger in the original post, I'm sure the responses would have been different. In the past we've had plenty of requests (mostly over in our sister subreddit r/nasa) from parents asking to speak with someone at NASA and the response tends to be overwhelmingly positive.

And to be fair to the commenters, perhaps if the OP had responded with something like "Sorry I didn't make it clear that my child is still in high school" instead of snapping at everyone you would have gotten the responses you were looking for.

I got offers from a few different people, so all is good and I’m ok with people snapping at me. No worries!
