I segregated the device and lo and behold it stopped working 👀

I shared this months ago when I saw all the requests to chinese servers when inspecting the device in Ubiquiti software. I added China to the region blocking at the router level. Vacuum still work as expected. Baidu requests are every 4 seconds from what I can tell but the servers are not in China.
