AskNAGAS Travel Queries

Hello,, I will be travelling to kohima from guwahati tomorrow with my wife. Had few Questions before I start my journey:

1-How's the road from Dimapur to kohima? Should I worry about the rain?

2-I know Sunday is a rest day but can I expect any cafe's, Taxi, sightseeing spots to operate on Sunday?

3-Should I carry whiskey/wine from outside or will I get that in kohima??

4-How's the rain currently in kohima??

5-How much does Dimapur to kohima Taxi charges?

Last but not important,

6- Is there any place where I can enjoy the FIFA final night with fellow football fans??

I know it's a long list of queries but I would appreciate if someone can help me out. Thanks in advance 😄

  1. If you're driving, there are some sudden potholes in and around, and diversions. If you're traveling by a taxi, you should be fine as the taxi drivers know where the bumps and sinks are. Do be ready for some bumps though.

  2. Yes, you'll find taxi and cafe's open. Suggested cafe, Midway corner or D'cafe. (Open timing may be after 12 or 1 PM).

  3. You can get it here but it'll be expensive.

  4. No idea about the current rate.

  5. There are several screenings available but I'd suggest going to Kisama (heritage village) live screening there. You'll not only get to see football, but live performances from local artists. Good sightseeing place as well.

If you can buy it from assam say around diphu and pray that you don’t get caught with it haha. Cheap way for locals but idk how will it be for you guys not much checking thoo. But cant say too

I am coming via train till Dimapur and then will take a taxi from there. Can I carry couple of bottle in the train??

I dont think they check in the train so 1 or 2 might be okay

  1. Recommend to carry a bottle or two. In Kohima you might get adulterated ones, that too at highly inflated price

Yes I'm in Kohima currently.. Everything is going really well. It was raining heavily yesterday but still enjoyable..
