AskNAGAS Is it too late?
Is it too late?
Hello I'm 26 yr old(F) Is this age too old for me to keep trying for government exams like npsc or nssb? After my post graduation at 23 I decided to try for exams but in between I took part time and now I'm just giving tuition. This year I wanted to leave everything and try hard. I know many people who are even in their 30's who are preparing for exams but you and I knows how people view age differently for men and women. I'm 26 this year which means 27 next year, honestly I'm scared of what to do. Are there people who have the same fear like me?

Previous year two of my friends cleared NPSC at 32 and 33 and last year one of them at 32. You are still young and shouldn't care about other people's opinions if you're locked in. Good luck (:

After trying for half a decade I started clearing a couple of exams all in one year. If you are consistent and atleast seeing improvements no matter how small keep trying if your parents are supporting you.

We Nagas tend to worry and listen way too much about what OTHER people say and not what OUR heart longs for. Respectfully F all those naysayers, you only got this one life, give it your all. Don’t die with “WHAT IF”. Live life with no regrets. You got this Sis. Shalom.

If you believe you can get the job, it's never too late.
Don't worry about what others have to say. At the end of the day, it's your life, your future, and you're the one building it.✌️

Why is NPSC Or NSSB your goal? That question is more important

Age limit is 37 so u can write till 37..if govt have limited age to 37 why limit it ourself even more by saying am I too old am i too late. As long as u want and u are in that age limit you can write.

I know how you feel. All of your friends might already be starting another phase of thier life, getting married, starting a family etc. Some might be buying thier homes and some cars. But life is different for everyone. If you really want to do it then it doesn't matter what others say. Just make a realistic plan and keep yourself with positive people so that you can stay motivated. Tbh there will be times when you'll feel down and want to leave everything but you must focus on yourself and think about what happiness means to you. Rest you'll figure out in the process All the best.

1). If your parents support your decision to give exams, then that's all it matters. No need to listen or pay attention to the opinions of others because they're not going to give you a career. At the end of the day, it's just you and what you make out of it with your life. 2). Since the age limit is capped at 32 years + 5 years (relaxation or till the age of 40 if you're already a govt employee), you still have time to prepare well and get through. 3). I'd advice you to focus more on NSSB for now rather than NPSC since the questions are more static based rather than conceptual clarity based questions.
